2) Trey is himself. We've seen the kind of kid Trey was before he ever set foot here.
Brady is Brady, Jimmy is Jimmy, Trey is Trey. I'm not going to suddenly act like the Greatest QB Ever gets all the credit for Jimmy being a cool dude with how many years Jimmy spent under him.
And in much the same way, I'm not going to pretend like Jimmy gave birth to Trey since in Trey's 1 year here he seems to conduct himself well.
3) The players loving him and rallying around him says alot more about the players that's been brought in here than it does about Jimmy. Loving your teammates is a good thing to do if your goal is to win.
4) I don't see him as a guy that greatly increases the morale of a team. You do that with great play on the field or great actions the other 6 days a week,...neither of which I can say he provides to a team. I'd think that's an extremely large exaggeration to make.
He is -- however -- a likeable guy that comes in and is not trying to garner all of the credit for himself while deflecting blame to his teammates. That's not greatly increasing the morale of a team,....that's just not f**king the morale up.
Let Jimmy make some of the same throws he's made on a bad team with already-crummy morale, and I can pretty much guarantee you the morale would stay low.
From what I've seen in Mic'd Up sections, Jimmy's an effective leader on gameday. When he's in the huddle, he's very clear in relaying the playcall and whatever needs to be said. He doesn't strike me as a rah rah type of guy, but yeah… he says what needs to be said.
And from what I can glean from interviews about Jimmy and the locker room culture… Jimmy's very professional in the way he prepares and works, week in and week out.
People always talk about intangibles like they're this mystical element on the team… I don't see it like that, but rather, see Jimmy's leadership as "leadership by example."
It's no surprise to me that the 2019 and 2021 teams got stronger as the season went on because the team, as a whole, just continued to grind and get better. Shanahan gets credit for that. Lynch gets credit for that. A lot of the team leaders get credit for that… and Jimmy was one of those guys.
I imagine if he goes to a team that has some talent… it might not happen overnight, but I could definitely see Jimmy rubbing off on others with the way he prepares weekly and I can see that having a positive effect on the team.

I love you
