This is perfect encapsulation of all these 1000s pages of JG / Stafford. Someone says one thing. Another person totally misreads it.

He's using Lance as an avenue out of his original comments is why. He talked crap about Stafford long before Lance ever declared for the draft.

I guess quoting the guy 10+ times doesn't clear that up for you, though.

Lance declared in October of 2020. No one was talking about Stafford then.

I was always for drafting the heir apparent, high ceiling replacement.
I thought it would be Fields.

I never wanted Cousins or Stafford. I viewed them as qbs in the 10-15 range.

Jimmy isn't better than Stafford but that's a subjective take...I have no idea if Lance is better, I would assume he's not better because he hasn't been playing in the NFL for over a decade. I think he has a chance to be an elite QB in the league though. He will need to play to get there.

Stafford played MUCH better than Jimmy in the playoffs and it wasn't really that close. Is what it is now, Stafford got a ring and while I was mad as hell with the Rams winning (just ask my wife) I respect Stafford and think he's damn good. Nothing from this yr changes that statement in fact I would say it backs it up a little more.

Seeing as how all the rams gave up was a QB and few picks For Stafford and our roster was good enough to get to the NFC championship with Jimmy who's a less talented QB than Stafford. I do not think it's some grand leap to believe if we had traded for Stafford we likely end up winning it all.

Come on meow...we've seen the film of Jimmy in the NFCC. Rams wouldn't be where they are if they had Goff rolling another yr there.

SF is probably a #1 seed with Stafford behind center...again I'm cool drafting Lance and I think he can be the dude here for a long time. IMO it doesn't matter either way, Stafford has wanted to go to LA for the past two yrs. When Brad Holmes became the DET GM it was a done deal. Not much SF could have done.

It's over now let's get everything we need to get Lance rolling.

Stafford really deified the odds when he went to a team filled with pro bowlers/ all pros and counting on both sides of the ball. Who would've thought a good QB could win a SB with those odds against a team they were 4.5 favorites against ?!? True underdog story

at least the Seahawks built their teams for years and groomed 5th/6th rounders into eventual badasses. Rams shamelessly bought a super bowl like this was franchise mode on madden because the LA market could give 2 s**ts about them otherwise, and they STILL had more opposing fans in their home stadium for the NFC Championship game
