"He's a loser due to his record"

someone backpedaling hard

His record is a fact. No backpedaling needed.
He is a suoerbowl winner and a playoff winner.

Looks like the Stafford Club and Mattsexuals enjoyed the Rams win.

Has there been any post suggesting he isn't good or better than JG?

I mean show me a post saying he isn't good or that JG is better. Perhaps I'm wandering into some debate I have no idea about. I thought it was consensus that he was good and a better QB than JG.

Again I missed that debate and I won't revisit some old debate I wasn't in. But I seriously doubt anyone was like he sucks JG better. Probably a much more nuanced view of well we may not want to give up a bunch of first rounders for Matty considering other opportunities. I mean I would rather have Trey and his potential. If Trey wins 5 Super Bowls this whole thing flips around the other direction. Way too early to do a pro-Ram victory dance (which btw eww )

The salt from the anti-Stafford people is lovely

Weird that there are Pro Stafford fans on this board celebrating the Rams win.

Stafford is old, a loser and on the Average tier with Jimmy and Kirk. It would be a terrible move for the 49ers to laterally upgrade to a qb on the same tier who is a loser and older.

I evaluated his ability, mediocre.
His status as a winner or loser, loser.
His age, old.

How can you not love our resident experts?

For faithful....

And this doesn't include a couple other posters. Including you, faithful. You've 100% said you rather have Jimmy.

LOL at Gore making me the subject if MULTIPLE posts over the past day after claiming to ignore me.

It is weird.

Why does the conversation have to be forced towards who people are "fans" of instead of the facts and reality of things on the football field, regardless someone's favorite team or players?

When will you tire of this fall back?

He needed an all-pro roster just beat a team in the super bowl who prior to this season hadn't won a playoff game since 1990

Who cares what the bengals were in the past? They beat the chiefs twice in the past month in a half and the #1 seed in the AFC.

I know that running game for LA was special last night. What they have, 23 attempts for 44 yards?

it's okay to acknowledge the Stafford is good.

Stafford is good but he is not great. The team carried him blah blah blah

So if his good not great what the hell is Jimmy lol?

Stafford had 4,900 yards 41 TD to 17 INTs completing 67% of his passes. They avg less then 100 yards rushing a game (24th in the league).

Stafford avg 300 yards passing and had 9TDs to 3 INTs in the playoffs. SF avg 170 yards per game with 2 TDs to 3 INTs. Matt wasn't lights out yesterday, but overall in the playoffs and this yr he was pretty damn good and it blows he's the QB for LA.

"id rather have Jimmy G than Stafford"

on the first f**king page. So kindly stop saying no one said that
Wanting Jimmy G over Stafford is how to know someone has a very bad drug problem

Has nothing to do about the Rams winning...I was actively rooting for them to lose (and hoping my squares/bets hit). It's funny how people toss out this you wanted the Rams to win because you don't think Stafford is a loser take...Deebo said he was rooting for LA, boy he must be a loser fake 49er fan too then

What is being discussed is how some people were wrong in their takes on him and instead of saying yeah you're right...it's grasping at straws and creating whatever narrative ya'll can make to deny being wrong about something.

Well the context was pro getting Stafford in a trade. But sure I'm also a fan of Stafford. Dude battled in Detroit finally escaped and won.

It's also not like someone copy/pasted about a dozen posts of people saying just that....

Jimmy fan club backpedaling and calling ppl Rams fans

the point is. QB wins is a f**king s**t tier metric and should never enter the conversation on how good they are. Making the reads, throwing with touch and accuracy, anticipation throwing, arm talent. This is what you judge the guy on. Can't even believe it has to be said

He's just trying to change the narrative/discussion. Yeah whatever with what I said....you guys like the Rams because you didn't say Stafford sucks lol.

Anyone stating they'd want Jimmy over Stafford last off doesn't watch football, they watch the 49ers. It was CLEAR that Stafford would succeed soon as he got off that Detroit team and got to a winner organization.

Kyle has relayed a story in which he was headed toward being a HC in the NFL and his dad told him that the trick to being a HC in the NFL is to identify the teams that are truly trying to win, of which I think he said there is only like 10-12 teams in the league that are actually trying to win it all each season, in his opinion. Detroit is CLEARLY not a team trying to win it all each season whereas the Rams have tried to win it all more than anyone recently except for maybe the Bucs. I knew the moment that Stafford trade was made it was going to be a problem for the 49ers.

Ya...I guess I'm a fan of about 15 other teams since I think their QBs are better. It's a very childish take. And ya, I like other players in the NFL, doesn't mean I'm a fan of the team. I'm not 12 years old anymore when I only like players on my team and talk s**t about everyone else's players. I enjoy the sport and appreciate how good some of these other players around the league are.
