No. I think they're just saying Jimmy is average/mediocre/third tier,...and several get very, very offended by it,...so they repeat it over and over when it's suggested they can't have an opinion even if it's realistic.

Next thing you know, here we are,...100s of pages later.

Lol calling Jimmy 3rd tier is saying he sucks.

Perhaps there are a lot of tiers?
3rd out of 10 would be pretty good.

Lol nah

Hes between that 2nd and 3rd tier. Hes better than QBs like Ryan (at this point) and Cousins, but not Stafford or Dak.

I disagree with that completely. Stafford has been around for a decade and a half and hasn't done anything. His production is essentially the same as JG over 16 games and he has been in an offense where he's given more opportunities to produce. Say what you want about the Lions, they always had good and even elite targets in the passing game and offenses designed to get the ball to them.

Dak I will grant is playing better than JG

These are the quotes I'm gonna have fun with when Stafford has a good year. Jimmy is middle of the pack. Stafford is one notch down from elite, and I'm seriously gonna enjoy laughing at you guys when he shows what he can do in an elite system with an elite coach with a bunch of weapons. I'm envisioning 30ish TDs, 10ish INTs, 4000ish yards and the NFC West title.

You will?

The call for retreads like Stafford or Cousins were the second worst idea behind the call for Darnold. The 49ers are doing it the right way.

GoldenRings has dozens of posts in this thread talking about Stafford, no one else talks about him.

Stafford is old, a loser and on the Average tier with Jimmy and Kirk. It would be a terrible move for the 49ers to laterally upgrade to a qb on the same tier who is a loser and older.

Anyone else notice how Burrows game ending drive ended the same as Jimmy against the rams.

But everyone wants to s**t on Jimmy.

Maybe Stafford just needed a great coach like mcvay.

Joe Burrow is in his 2nd year. If Joe Burrow is making the same mistakes over and over after 4-5 years of his career - then he should get s**tted on.

That's NOT on Joe.

It's his oline. Same as Jimmy. It boggles my mind that people keep missing this.

Jimmy's was a pick. Everyone s**ts on Jimmy cause if you didn't notice you are on a 49ers message board in Jimmy Gs thread. If you would like to see people s**tting on Burrow then may I suggest going to a thread that talks about him. Crazy idea I know

People "s**t" on Jimmy because he missed half a dozen or more reads in the LA game...it's well documented in here and we've discussed it objectively. If the film comes out and shows Burrow missed a s**t ton of open receivers he should be securitized all the same. I would also say the Bengals have one of the worst OLs in football, dude got sacked what 7 times with 11 QB hits lol? Jimmy vs LA got sacked zero times with 4 QB hits. People want to s**t on our OL, but fail to look at the rest of the league's trash OLs...including the AFCC Bengals. Burrow was the reason they were in the SB, regardless of other s**t.

Yup! Which is amazing (the terrible offensive line). Imagine Burrow behind a top 10 o-line? I would think improving the offensive line is priority number one for the bengals. They do that they will be right back in the playoffs for sure.

This. That defense and run game has carried him all year, and he has plays behind a good OL. While Jimmy is the reason we were in the hunt for a SB. Can't same the thing about Burrow.
