Just another game where we had it and blew it in the end. Not a winning recipe to play UNNECESSARILY tight games all year.

...well....@ least now a good half of them have came around, and we can now speak freely about the obvious truths regarding our team.

Jimmy the player pisses me off but I like him as a man. I'll root for him wherever he goes, Hopefully it's a team I don't hate. It's just time to move on and get much better qb play. Tons of memories made

I guess so

Jimmy took us as far as he could take us. We were a better team because of him. It never showed up on the stat sheet, but I'm firmly of the belief that his leadership and poise is what got the team playing its very best and why he IS a winning QB. Very very grateful that Jimmy has been our QB.
But in the end, he had a ceiling. The passing offense was literally crossing/slant routes, checkdowns, and screens. He rarely ever had throws to the sidelines and deep. I'm actually surprised we were as successful an offense as we were. I feel we certainly could've won with him, but we would've needed to stack our defense even more. Maybe if Verrett never got injured, we could've won with Jimmy this year… but who knows.
We're going to miss his efficiency and those long sustained drives, but ultimately, we made the move to Trey so we can have a more dynamic, explosive option.

Dude, Garapollo qb ratings in the playoffs say it all. It was awful and Lance couldn't have done worse.
49ers Jimmy Garoppolo went 3 for 9 for 30 yards and INT in 4th quarter.
In 6 playoff starts Garoppolo has a 28.0 passer rating in the 4th, ranking last among 69 QBs w/ 30+ 4th quarter passes in playoffs since 1991
Exactly.

Just never matched that moment again. 2nd half against Rams in W18 came closest, and comeback against Pack at beginning of the season, though Rodgers stole it back.
Great lcoker room guy, solid control of the scheme, but just too limited in key ways that a QB needs to be in today's NFL.
Hope he has great success on his next team.

Will be nice to have someone else at QB though. Whether it is on Kyle or JG, the offense is so limited / condensed in its current form.
And are we still arguing winning percentage / NFCCG appearances, etc.? Jimmy has exactly zero Super Bowl titles, including one Super Bowl loss. That's literally all that matters.
GL to you JG. I don't wish you any ill will, but will be happy as a clam to see Lance at QB next year. Even though I am sure Lance's play will be riddled with "rookie" mistakes for the first half or, perhaps, entire 2022 season.
We were only as good as how Jimmy played. Trey would have won those games going away.

I can't wait to see the Trey Lance era but man reading Jimmy's comments and hearing how much he loves this team and the guys it's really hard to not get emotional. I hate how people just hate on this guy I just have so much respect for Jimmy and his approach. He's tough, played on an injury that none of us could dream of, when he knew we were drafting Trey he welcomed him here but all he wanted was a chance to compete to start. The man handled this situation with 100% class and professionalism. All these things show you why he's won so many games. Jimmy is a winner and is made of the right stuff. Nobody should have anything other than respect for the guy. I'll miss you Jimmy and always know you were a big reason this team is where it's at in its turnaround from being completely garbage.

Im not sure if I rank him better or worse than kaep. Both are behind Alex though in my eyes. If smith had more chances we would have had another ring.
Hopefully lance will be better than kap and not get figured out.

Yes took all the noise and never stooped too low. Off the field, a good model for Trey, whom seems to be another great guy as well.

don't blame Grappy for being up 10 points and losing the SB to the Chiefs..
don't blame Grappy for being up 10 points and losing the NFCCG to the Lambs..
BLAME the HC in control that allowed his DC to continue to be clueless that 10 was kickin our buns !!
Stop. The only reason we had that lead was because the D held that massive offense in check the whole game. You are clueless.

No one cares if your qb is a dick if he's winning Super Bowls. Can care less about his class if u can't back it up with good play. Plenty of classy players not on a roster rn

And what is your bright idea for stopping the Rams today? It wasn't just Kupp. OBJ also had 9 catches for over 100 yards. Their tight end caught 5 for 57. Stafford was spreading the ball around. This wasn't Aaron Rodgers keying in one guy like last week.
Ryans mixed up his coverages. He tried blitzing a few times, and it didn't work. There's only so much defense you can scheme.
It finally caught up with us: our corners just couldn't match up. I'm honestly surprised it took us to the NFCCG for it to happen.
