Can he finally have a game where he throws 3 TD's and no ints?

I know its in him. Just not sure if the injuries are holding him back.

How do we know this ? How often has he ever done it? U can't expect an 8 year vet to all of a sudden turn into a playmaker. He is what he is. Expect 180 yards and a couple turnovers at this point. If we r good enough to compensate for that awesome.

He's thrown for 3+ touchdowns and zero interceptions 3 times in his career. 2 with SF and one with NE.

It's a pretty bizarre stat requirement. For example last week Mahomes threw for 404 and 5 TDs yet he wouldn't make that stat requirement cuz he had 1 pick.

That would be an acceptable stat line lmao

I have enough time to complain about Jimmy during the game. I would prefer to keep hopeful before hand.

We have made it to the Elite 8 of football. 24 teams are already in offseason mode. Even for the Super Bowl winner the offseason is terribly long. I'll enjoy this remaining time of the season while it lasts. Credit to all our great players we needed everyone of them to get to this point.

Totally.

Seriously you both spinning s**t and it's sad. I said I would have like trey to start at the beginning of the season for the future of the team and to get the rookie mistakes out of the way. And everything I stated is not delusional it's pretty much the headlines of every sport show going into this packers game. Get out of the bubble

You did post this:
The only people kidding themselves are the ones believing hes the guy for the job.

Kyle definitely thinks he is the man foe the job right now.

As in the guy that can win a Super Bowl lmao. That makes no reference to trey nor did I mention his name.

You are moving the goalposts.

I know he can because he almost did before.

Kyle knows he can and that is why he is starting him.

JG had some like this for example the Saints game 349 and 4 TDs but 1 pick we put 48 on a 13-3 Saints team on the road and won. Or 424 and 4 TDs vs the Cards in 2019 but he had some picks. Point is not every game fits into a neat little box where you cherry pick the criteria for the box. I prefer career numbers cuz they get around the cherry picking of oh if you just look at this quarter in the playoffs

Career rating is 99 (really good)
Career record is 33-14 (really good)

What happened to the "clutch" goalposts stuff that we never finished discussing?

Or is it over due to the bad game and we've just moved to something else?

I asked you if our QB coming out and having a good 1st half counted any towards being clutch?

Joe Montana had his first 3 TD/0 INT game in his 3rd season as a pro, his second and 3rd in his 5th season and his 4th in his 6th season.

We finished that discussion.

It depends on the context.

??? If it's possible then that's a yes, right?

And him having a bad game where he's not clutch in the 2nd half shouldn't automatically end a discussion, should it? Otherwise, that'd be that "moving the goalposts" thing.

Comparing passing in the 80s vs now. Ok dude u seriously are off your rocker now. It's basically not even the same game anymore. 300 yards and 3 tds in the 80s is like throwing for 500 and 5 tds now. U lost all credibility your grasping straws here. God damn. Jimmy wouldn't survive the preseason in the 80s he would have a hospital bed reserved pre game.

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs; $45 million

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: $43 million

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys: $40 million

Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans: $39 million

Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks, $35 million

Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers: $33.5 million

Jared Goff, Detroit Lions: $33.5 million

Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings: $33 million

Carson Wentz, Indianapolis Colts: $32 million

Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons: $30 million

Not sure how many times I need to explain this and show their cap hit in 2021 for people to get it....You and I have had this convo how many times now?

I don't care about APY...teams restructure QB's salaries all the time and some don't even make it through their full contract so it's not the best way to judge a contract really for any player.

Don't worry he's not gonna get it. Imagine thinking passing stats from the 80s are remotely comparable to the modern day. 🤪

Honestly at this point everyone is beating the dead horse...pundits and analysis as well. Yes Jimmy is probably the worst remaining QB in the playoffs. Yes he's inconsistent. BUT Jimmy with this team and HC make SF a hard out every week. The unit as a whole makes this team competitive every damn week. Jimmy is part of that.

This was his year and that was never gonna change unless he got hurt. This was also the off season to go in a different direction at QB past 2021. That was my point for the past year. Could I be a little blunt in regard to what Jimmy is in my eyes, sure. Didn't mean I hated the dude or think he's the worst QB in the league.

My debate for the most part, was how much he was getting paid during a covid cap season. He's currently the 2nd highest paid player in the playoffs (only behind Rogers) let's keep s**t real here and understand that's stupid. Is what it is now, Kyle and Co wanted to go this route and for the most part it's paid off. We will see what Lance is BUT I f**king hope the Jimmy can do no wrong and he's the QB so you support him crowd, apply that SAME energy to Lance....at least for the 1st 4 years of his career.

That's a ShanaLynch and Paraag moneyball issue.

Even then, he's simply paid within the realm of a starting playoff QB today.

As to if we're getting our money's worth? So far so good...Superbowl and into the Divisional round of the playoffs. But that's up to Kyle and the FO and they've decided to go cheaper.

You should see how many "overpaid" QB's didn't even make these playoffs or are already bounced.

There's not Moneyball issue, if anything it's the opposite of money ball. And I'm not blaming Jimmy for getting as much money as possible.

Even then he's not worth what he's getting paid in 2021. I completely disagree SF got their our money's worth. SF basically ate $63.4M in cap space because of two lost seasons.

I'm looking at QBs that are CURRENTLY in the playoffs and this is their cap hits....

Rogers $27.6M
Jimmy $26.4M
Stafford $20M
Tannehill $11.1M
Brady $10.5M
Allen $10.2M
Burrow $8.2M
Mahomes $7.4M

The highest paid QB to win a SB since 2010 was Brady at $25M last yr, he ate up 12.4% of his teams total cap space. The highest to win since the cap was Steve Young in 1994 at 13.1% (first year NFL had a cap).
Did we ever pinpoint the play where the shoulder injury occurred? I think it was the third down play where the niners were up 13 to 6 and they settled for a field goal. Jimmy got smashed, again, and held on to his thumb.
