I think it's a bit harsh giving Jimmy a D. But this win was definitely bc of the defense and Deebo.

Ninersnation is well known for having writers who really bag on Jimmy. Madrid, Guerrera, Delucci have bagged on Jimmy for a long time. Guerrera even got in to it with Joe Staley and did last night in Twitter.

I used to be a member of ninersnation. People think this place is bad. At times, I will admit this place can become a cesspool. However, that place is a sewer.

when i learned they had sanctioned fake accounts to troll i said F them and left

Lol I know you Montana fanboys are still around and that's cool and great. The greatest in 49er history. Just wont let you rewrite history to disparage the guy that replaced him. That's all.

If he is great, let his accomplishments stand on its own two legs without fairytales.

Dude
truth is young sucked in playoff games.

you have zero clue if your gonna act like he didn't.

Young choked in playoff games. Sucked being a 9er fan watching us get bounced because of his s**t play in the playoffs.

Why is Jimmy better right now? Its because of his leadership and his experience in Shanahan's offense. Shanahan does not have that same trust with Trey yet.

Look most of these comments I agree with and Jimmy has done a good job, especially last week second half but if you think one touchdown in the first half is some super bowl killer I'd think again. I love the 9ers. Love the grit but I just don't feel we are ready to go all the way with this QB and without upgrades in the secondary.

Watch KC or watch the Bills. One of these two teams will be SB champions. Because they are elite at QB and especially KC plays to those strengths.

And let's replace the word trust with experience.

Again I love this team so no hater bs but one TD in a half and some questionable decisions in the second half are not SB caliber play.

I think Jimmy hurt his hand again and aggravated the injury. We shouldn't be surprised by this. You keep playing the game and you're probably going to aggravate an injury.

It would explain some of those second half throws. Missing a wide open Aiyuk? The interception? Both of them were overthrows.

It will be interesting to see how Kyle frames the injury report. If Jimmy is hurt again, badly hurt, we just might see a surprise Trey Lance appearance.

And yet here you are Heed49er allowed to talk football. Wonder how many NFL games you have started. I'm betting Chris has you beat there.

I see your point man the one guy I can never take serious is Orlavsky all I can see in my mind as he's talking is him running out of his own endzone. I guess they're allowed to talk football but we're allowed not to take them seriously

A tale of two halves for Jimmy. Wonder if his hand became a factor at some point or if it was just Jimmy being Jimmy.

But a rookie, who has never done it before in the history, with only 10 quarters can? Again, right now Jimmy is the better QB. That's not a hit on Trey as his potential is off the charts and I agree a Mahomes or Allen put's us over the top, but right now Trey is not Mahomes or Allen. He is a rookie with 10 quarters of experience. Jimmy on the other hand is a good to sometimes great QB that can also be downright infuriating at times. Is he Mahomes? f**k no, but he's no Baker Mayfield either.
Dak Prescott graded a "D" so JimmyG is "B-" or "C+" with the main mistakes
  1. Failing to hit a wide open Aiyuk on a perfect play design
  2. Interception when he should have thrown it away
  3. Not allowing Trent Williams to get set
To me, #1 is the worst because he missed on that exact play, opposite side to Juice, against the Titans.

I think it may have indeed been a factor. The missed throw to Aiyuk and the interception were both overthrown balls. He was doing the same thing in the Titans game after he suffered the injury to begin with.

I'm not at all surprised that he would aggravate or worsen it. Football is a rough game.

LOL. I just rewatched that first half...damn near flawless first half. Perhaps those thumb shots start to wear off as the game goes on. You could really see the ball come out funny in the 4Q. Rewatching the INT it was really obvious. That still has nothing to do with the decision making.

I'm wondering on that Aiyuk play if he was meant to go up field after the cut. Not sure if KS explained if that was was actually on JG or not.

Yes. Jimmy's release is elite. Trey has shown that he can make up for not having as quick of a release by buying time in the pocket though. Like I said, Trey has a lesser sack rate than Jimmy. Not by much. But to say Trey would have taken a bunch of sacks is pure speculation.

Just about everything that people say about Lance at this point is pure speculation based on a pretty small sample size but that doesn't seem to stop them from making all kinds of assertions about what Lance is 'better at' than Jimmy. About the only thing you can say at the moment is that the game doesn't seem too big for him and he seems to throw kind of a nice deep ball.

Until he actually lines up under center for an extended period of time there is really no way of knowing how he is going to play over the long haul. He could be anywhere from average to elite. I imagine we are all hoping for the latter

There's got to be a flashing target on his hand that every Opponent is gunning for.

I'm totally okay with that and agree 100 percent but I think last week Jimmy did great in the second half but all in all Jimmy is Jimmy many other times and propped up too high.

I hope that rare last week Jimmy comes out again and again the rest of the way but I'm concerned that will be a challenge.
