If Jimmy G turns out to be everything people hope he can be, always be sure to set aside two tickets at each game for Belichick and Brady like Ricky Bobby did for his daddy.

Just wait awhile. We will get him on the cheap once he tears his ACL at Levi's this weekend.

There's nothing even remotely funny about this.
😡😡😡😡that's just stupid man your toying with everyone's emotions right now!
Already a leader. I am so impressed with Jimmy. I was a huge fan of his before we got him. I love him even more now.

Kraft modeled the New England Patriots after the 80's and 90's 49ers. He copied everything they did. Bellicheat openly praised Walsh's book and how it helped him.

The Patriots owe the 49ers, not the other way around. To me with the Garoppolo trade, it is now even.

lol what?

1.5 dudes is enough to forget about the literally dozens of Air Raid QBs who flunked out? That's an extremely low bar to debunk the fact that Air Raid QBs suck at the NFL level 99% of the time.

Hey -- JPP blew off his hand and got a few sacks. Finally we can put to bed the "amputees never have success in the NFL" canard too.

Just remember the Patriots also allowed Bill Walsh to swap picks with them in the 85' draft. Drafted some WR from Mississippi Valley State who turned out to be decent.

With Brady, the Pats always have a chance

what? the steelers were getting bodied by the f**king ravens before making a last minute comeback. the steelers also always play that b******t soft zone against the patriots for some odd reason and brady just eats them up. i don't like the patriots but i'd be surprised if they dont win this game and win it handily (especially since they got embarrassed by the dolphins on mnf)

+1 ^^^^^^, all of that.

Don't forget that Belichick had an intern follow Walsh around for several months back in the early '90s I believe prior to the Browns HC job or soon after. It was more than just reading the book.

Lost in all of these comparisons about BB and TB being "better" than BW and JM were that you have to give credit to the originals for setting the standard and offering a baseline to learn from. Edelman mentioned watching old Montana/Rice footage with Brady to incorporate routes and techniques they could use for themselves. This was I believe back in Edelman's first year with the team.

So yes, Garoppolo being traded to the 49ers (at all, let alone for a 2nd) is equitable payback.

If the 49ers owed Tampa Bay anything prior to 1987, Steve Young paid it all off and then some.
