I think we all make a deal that Jimmy is pissed behind the scenes, however I see it differently. It's apparent that John and Kyle are straight up with Jimmy and I'm sure he is back. Those types of relationships are generally real and respected.
Plus,....you gotta think leverage. He just needs to get on the field and show he's worthy of being a QB1 "somewhere."

He hasn't been on the field to show that recently, and he just doesnt have the clout a 2-time MVP like Rodgers might have to have a hissy fit.

Yes exactly. JG is a class act and a great player. I am hoping he will keep developing as a player and ball out this year and win us a Super Bowl.

Now there are some improvements to the Oline he might have some decent pass protection and at less risk of being injured. If Trey wants the top job he is going to have to earn it. Competition brings out the best and lets now see if JG steps up to a new height. If not the rookie can take his turn in good time. Much better QB room then CJ and Mullens. Much better.

Still waiting on your answer of where this market for Jimmy is.
Was reviewing some of Jimmy's contract terms. Will be interesting to see if anything happens around/before June 1st. The hope probably is that he agrees to a restructure where it saves us like $11.8M on the cap and he still gets his money later, while we bite the bullet next year where the cap should be much higher. Otherwise, our hands might be twisted into choosing whether or not to save $25M in cap space post June 1st. and cut him if he and his agent are playing hard ball.

The financial hit of Bridgewater's contract is partially what devalued him to a 6th rounder. It was basically a salary dump by Carolina.

The best for both sides is to figure out what's what and either agree to a restructure or trade as free agency carries on over the next few weeks, and teams are filling in the puzzle pieces. Either way, a team's going to want to reduce his base pay.

I thought Carolina had to pay a good chunk of his salary?

I don't think Jimmy will restructure with us but will for his new team rather it's this year or next. Hoping for the former. He has no reason to restructure with us.
All I know is wherever Jimmy goes next not likely to a division rival or a team I hate I'll root for him always

It would heavily benefit Jimmy to get cut and sign a lower deal with a team that has no QB than restructure with us knowing he will get replaced and then traded to who knows where.

His agent would be irresponsible if he told him to stay in SF.

Washington would be a perfect team for him.

I'll tell ya...………..nowhere lol.

Jimmy is gonna ball out to the best of his abilities this yr, build up that trade value and get himself a big fat contract somewhere else. Love the dude but we all know he's limited.

Our QB room just got a whole hell of a lot better

Washington would be smart to give up a 1st for Jimmy. QB is their only missing piece for a serious SB run.

Here's some other teams that are not entirely set in the long run at QB.

Den
IND if Wentz doesn't work out
MIN
NO
MIA
PHI
