after JGs, first pass, which sailed about 10 feet over WRs head, it reminded me of some top flite pitchers who come in and first pitch is 99 mph and goes 15 feet over the batter's head. Jimmy was anxious and he smoked that first one. Maybe he suckered the DBs too, who noticed that first pass was a mile high. But that was it. Having seen all the completions again and again, it is obvious that he gets that ball out NOW. The other thing is he sees the field ultra fast and makes reads instantaneously. The zip in his ball is due to that really quick release. The ball isn't put on display like the statue of liberty...it is all one quick motion and GONE. Seeing the field, making the reads...is all instantaneous...the zippy ball with blazing release speed...well that just about gets everything one could want in a Qb...oh, accuracy wasn't too bad either, usually being pin point. His calm , cool, demeanor was a definite plus. He did get hacked once when somebody lined up on wrong side of field and he let him know it. He actually knew the playbook better than some guy who has been playing 12 weeks. At last...

Yeah when Jimmy threw that first pass I was like "uh oh", but though it was just more nerves than anything.

It's clear he knows how to study a playbook and understand the concepts, something he probably developed under Brady. The way he explained the pass into triple coverage or how he was getting after guys who couldn't line up right during the game speaks volumes about a guy who's only been there a month.

Couldn't see the game so I just watched a 4 minute video of every pass or run Gucci Grop made. For his debut after only being on the team a month it was pretty damn impressive. It's quite noticeable how much better his ball placement and location is than any QB we've had in the past 3 years. He allows the receiver to make a catch in stride or be in position to get some decent YAC while simultaneously placing the ball so his receiver isn't taking a huge hit or left out to dry, getting killed cuz he could barely make the catch. Even converted on short yardage with a sneak. Fantastic stuff!

Honestly I don't see them spending big money on a WR in FA with Garcon getting a large paycheck (not sure how much they want to invest cap wise there). A Robinson and D Adams would be my preferred guys just doubt they spend the dough (wouldn't hate it though)
there's some names in the draft that could be had in the 2nd or later....

Landry overrated?? He already has two back to back 1100 yard seasons and is on pace for a third this year. Watkins has been solid all year with good size and speed, only 24 and could end up close to 1,000 yards himself this year.
