Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Los Angeles Rams

Funny thing is I love Jimmy G. I just have questions,...the same questions I had midseason. Can more parts of the field open up with our WRs? Can he react better to the rush when there is time to throw the ball away? Can he be a lil more cerebral on critical down & distance situations?

They're legit questions,...we'll see what happens and hopefully find away to accommodate the improved roster we have with a lil more dynamic offense.

How bout giving your guesses on what things you expect to see cleaned up in his game this year? Where do you expect growth at? Let's move the discussion in a positive direction cause right now the gist of this is stuck in mud...

The only ones going for this fudgy "like a 2nd year player" math are people that are trying to sell the same inexperienced line you already are. No one on the fence is suddenly getting convinced that Jimmy's kinda like a rookie all of a sudden or anything. It's a waste of time and energy trying to sell this one. He's played behind the best and has over 40 games of experience (taken snaps in 44 to be exact, nothing to do with simply being on the active roster).

Lol jimmy is almost 30. His noodle arm isn't getting any stronger and his mobility lol is only gonna get worse. This is it with jimmy he's not getting much better. Sam darnold is very young.

I think it more has to do with where jimmys ceiling is, not whether or not he's a finished product. We all know that he's not finished into what he can be.

Take Alex smith for example, terrible until harbaugh and his system came to town. Our running game and harbaugh's staff propelled Alex to help us to an nfc title game and a pro bowl alternate appearance in his first season under harbaugh. Yet, we replaced him.

Jimmy g seems to be of a similar story. A system quarterback thriving with a great running game and a genius in Kyle Shanahan....

Just because we have had terrible quarterbacks since Garcia, and we've been winning with jimmy g, doesn't mean we put the rose colored glasses on and overlook all his faults and only praise him for his strengths... it also definitely means we shouldn't not be looking into upgrading the position via the draft if we are able to (see mahomes).. let a qb sit behind jimmy for a few years like jimmy got to do behind Brady. If jimmy starts playing poorly for a year or two, well guess we have our answer and start the rookie guy we drafted. If jimmy balls out, play the rookie when we are able (blow outs) and then trade the rookie like New England did/does to everyone else and get serious trade capital while keeping jimmy g and using said picks to bolster our roster. It's a win win to be honest.

I've only seen Jimmy audible correctly like twice all season. Kyle's play calling was brilliant all year and masked many many deficiencies that he has as a passer. I don't know if it's footwork, mechanics or a combination of both but the timing isn't there. I bet if he worked on footwork this offseason it'll improve his accuracy 20 fold

What is the source of your information that tells you when he audibled and when didn't?

You can see the play being changed and a new formation is made by Jimmy at the line. Especially when Kyle gets pissed at him on the sideline. And how many times has Kittle turned into a DB on a poorly thrown ball. We lucked out on a few of those. Bottom line is we need improvement at the quarterback position.

Seriously...thats a bad comparison. Kurt Warner would be better since he also didnt have a great arm or athleticism.

Does it happen like that? Ya but very rarely. But i am okay with Jimmy for another year, even though ive bashed him a bit as well. Only 1 more though. If hes not an all pro or SB winner, bye Felicia.
