god, what a jerk. he should have some patience.

Tough love.

Cry about him as much as you want, but Garoppolo is still 9-2 in his career.
and our plan b is nick which is nice for a back up but no.. jimmy is the guy

Its just funny how if we lose, the numbers dont matter. Everyone calls the QB a bum regardless of performance. But then we go 9-2 with Garoppolo, and people criticize his performance.

Ultimately, the only thing that matters in wins/losses, and Garoppolo has been a winner.

The most noticeable bad throws I saw yesterday were:

1. The pick six (obviously)
2. The near interception in enemy territory.
3. The throw a little behind Goodwin that could've been for a big gain (although I still felt it was catchable)
4. The overthrow to Bourne that bounced off his hands. It would've been a sensational catch. It wasn't an easy throw, he had to get it over the middle of the field LB/traffic. So, to be fair to both players, it was a tough play.

Considering the game as a whole and the the multiple plays called back (his long run and two TDs), I'd grade his game as "OK". You give him back those plays and Jimmy's game starts to look above average, despite the miscues. It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't terrible. Looking at the circumstances as a whole, I think our penalties, struggles to run the ball and the surprisingly subpar playcalling were frustrating factors that hurt Jimmy. We frequently had 3rd and 15+ situations where he got blitzed every time and we threw the obvious and predictable screens too often. I'm being patient, because I think we will see improvement from Jimmy as the season progresses.

Thanks OTC! Jimmy definitely had an up and down game, but he was locked in when targeting Kittle, picked up a few key 3rd downs, and had a very good scramble. Unfortunately 2 passing TDs were nullified. We'll definitely get better on that front as we progress through the season. I also thought our running attack was terrible, we were in second and long like every time.
Let's not forget that this team had some touchdown called back as well. Clean that up and they're be a better offense.

for everything there is a beginning and it was fine for a start.... again. sorry.. but a win on the road and we made plays to win a game not lose a game like we have for the last two years. for a start. i will take it.... but from jimmy to the wide outs to the run game to penalties.. the biggest improvement you see is game one to two... need to see that against a beatable team sunday
Garoppolo need to throw the balls to WRS, TE and Rbs about go back for basic process and study the playbook as memory!

one of his horrible passes actually ended up working out for the team. Threw it so far behind goodwin, that when goodwin tried to come back to it, the defender got in his way. PI, first down.

agree... goes back to penalties.. you can quibble if they were legit... but they were made... got things we need to clean up in our own game.. i wish they would fly north and stay in that area of the country this week like jh did in 2011

I would be elated to start off 2-0 with back to back road wins. I hope the Steelers play as bad against us as they did against New England. I feel like that team has a lot of talent but has underachieved in recent years, so they seem beatable. They really struggled to handle Edelman and Gordon. Curious if Hurd and Taylor would be back for that game -- because they are exactly the type of players that torched the Steelers secondary last night.

you wonder why he does not do that with ward.

Kind of hard to get on a guy for injuries.

I disagree. I think he needs to throw more to his OL.

is there a site to rewatch games (fo free?) Aside from short passes, which he missed a bunch of as well, I can't think of a single good deep/intermediate ball other than the TD to James.
