Say it louder for the people in the back

Yeah, these guys have proved it in the regular season why is everyone worried

Worry during the season. Preseason doesn't mean s**t and you know this. Most of you are just "calling it" now so you can say you were right later on.

LMFAO He gets hurt a lot and doesn't play near his contract? Didn't he only play like 3 official games after signing that contract before getting hurt?

This dudes trollin. I got banned for over year for doing less than that.

If he played only 3 games and then got hurt wouldn't that make him "fragile?" Which was one of my points. He also wasn't playing really well. Nowhere near one of the highest paid players in the league well even when healthy. We were losing some games too before he got hurt.

Jimmy G is fragile and made of glass just like Bosa. A true fragile China Doll. He will be out with injury soon. Nick Mullens will take over and do better anyway at a much cheaper price. So not to worry. I expect him to underwhelm and get hurt just like he always does. We drastically over paid for him. But at least we are lucky enough to have Nick Mullens waiting in the wings.

Mullens baby

Do you even hear yourself anymore, SD? You've become the dictionary definition of a troll. It's sad, honestly. There's more to life than trolling sports message boards.

Who gives a crap about the contract? Pay the man $2 billion and as long as it's under the cap it's water under the bridge and irrelevant to the conversation going forward.

Obviously you like Nick better, lol. But if you expect him to be the new 49er QB Jesus prepare to be disappointed.

As for Jimmy G being hurt "an awful lot" - this is his first and only significant injury in his football career since high school. His arm talent is still the same. Maybe give him some time to re-acclimate to the game. Not three preseason series, but several games.

My take on Jimmy G.: He was always limited athletically. He ran a 4.97 40 at the combine which is SLOW. Now with an ACL and a knee brace, he will be even more limited. I don't see him surviving the year, but at least the team has two promising young QBs. And Jimmy will eventually walk away counting his 40 million dollars. Not a bad deal for him.
Tough night. Can't blame others for bashing him, pre-season or not, that's just bad.

With that said, I'm sticking to the belief that we'll have the JG that won several games in a row, gave us fans hope, and something to cheer about to an otherwise miserable season two years ago.
ESPN is going to milk this sh*t to death because the game was on their network.

Just ignore that this was the first time in almost a full year since players were allowed to hit him and in a meaningless game he chose to make quick risky throws rather than hold the ball too long or unnecessarily move around in the pocket against those 2 monster edge rushers.

You can tell KS probably told him to play it safe and you can also see this with his playcalling. He completely stayed away from the playaction to keep him out of harms way.

He spent more time here injured than healthy so SD isn't wrong in that regard. I'm still hopeful though that we can see the JG that we got back in 2017.

He was hurt with the Patriots and out before. He has not shown he can handle the rigors of a full and grueling season in the NFL year after year and the ability to stay healthy doing it.

That's the truth.

Agree completely. He looks as slow as rothlisberger out there and is not nearly as big or tough. Behind this oline it's only a matter of time before he is injured again.

His 3cone or ladder I bet is really bad. His feet look stuck in the mud.

Haven't seen any fire Kyle or Lynch posts. But I might of missed them.

He survived the disaster we had in 2017, he's fine. But coming back from a bad knee is a hurdle you have to get over. It's a preseason game.
