More pieces might get added this offseason, we'll see. Was watching jimmy G highlights the other day, damn the pinpoint accuracy and pocket movement. 2019 season can't come any sooner, Niners Lets Gooooooo

Welp, the Vikes are screwed. All that money for a decent qb. Yikes. We are def on the better side of that situation. Although Cousins would be much better in Shanny's system

They really need to address the offensive line. I was dumbfounded when they passed on Will Hernandez last year for a CB who primarily played in the nickel until his injury (and that's not a slam on Mike Hughes, who's going to be a good DB).

I honestly think that if Spielman and Zimmer have another season like this past one and neglect the O-line again, they're done.

Cousins is a good QB, but he needs a solid line in front of him to have any type of success. He's not going to scramble out of the pocket to make something happen. He's a pocket passer.

I'm glad we got Garappolo since he's a bit more mobile, but I would have been happy with Cousins as well.

If we get Brown or OBJ as a welcome back gift for Jimmy, watch out. he balled out with a bunch of nobodies. get him one of these guys, further development of Pettis and Kittle being Kittle and we should have a dope offense

pass protection. as always and esp now with jimmy on a surgically repaired knee, needs to step it up, of course we are basing this on jimmy being 100 per cent
Brown on offense gives the safeties something to worry about, DCs cant have safeties attack and send extra blitzers as often if we have actual threats at WR that need safety help

even if we do not get either one.. we have to upgrade. there is no way we can go into next year with the same crop of guys we have now. cutting garcon and celik would be a good start

That allowed 125 QB hits, second in the league. No, it wasn't. Stop believing the PFF hype and look at the numbers.
i am not sure about the sack numbers. but it had to be in the high end of the spectrum. i guess other teams do not follow our teams theory that sacks are over rated

Nick Mullens and CJ both hold onto the ball for way too long at times, not saying the OL is perfect but sometimes s**tty QB play makes it look worse

This was similar to last year and the numbers never went down even when Jimmy was playing. There's no depreciable drop rate between any of the 49er QB when it comes to hits. Also, Mullens has a faster release than Jimmy at this point. The kid doesn't take sacks. QB hits are even when the ball is thrown successfully, on time and caught, there's still a free rusher that clobbers the QB after the pass is gone. I too thought this would be different between QBs, but it's not. The other possible factor is WR play. The issue again remains; regardless of who's starting at WR, our QBs are still getting clobbered regularly.

BS Mullens does not have a quicker release than Jimmy. You can say he makes a decision faster as the playbook has been dumbed down for him but thats as far as you can take it.
Don't care who we get for WR, if we don't beef up our Oline and add reliable depth at the RB position it won't matter. As much as I like JG and what he has shown, he still hasn't ever made it a half season of football without being hurt and missing significant playing time. Other franchise QBs when you look around the league don't have the same problem. We need JT to show up in time for TC and not miss any PT for at least a few seasons if he's going to be worth his contract and hopefully he can improve his TD/INT ratio. If these things happen then hopefully we will finally see some stability with the roster and hopefully star being a plus .500 franchise.

Jimmy was getting hit at an alarming rate before he landed on IR

Did you not watch the first 3 games of the season? Jimmy was doing this too. I would argue he was worse than Mullens in this capacity, or at least similar.

I don't subscribe to PFF. How many of those hits came against Beathard? 120? Dude held the ball and froze up on every drop back. Mullens played fantastic in the 2nd half, which wouldn't have been possible if his OL sucked.
