This. And, there are definitely a few fans on here crying and whining. It's borderline entertaining at first but after awhile it becomes pretty pathetic.

really is pathetic. makes us hold true to our forty whiner nickname. Go check out the Shanahan thread. Pure comedy man.

I still believe this FO did him no favors with poor drafting and no skill positions.

Mike McGlinchey? Signed McKinnon? Try again!

Expect him to struggle early coming off a torn ACL and still in year 1 of Shanahans playbook. I still expect him to be great in the long run, but it will be funny to see this place turn into a clown show again when it happens

he's getting top 5 salary, 29 years old and is still learning on the job. I think people are in for a rude awakening if it turns out he's not the second coming.
Last year I was super excited with Jimmy, thought the interceptions were an outlier. However I would be lying if i said his play this year didn't worry me. I'm hoping it was because of the oline and skill positions.

Which is why you shouldn't care.

That's why gotta draft another qb and sign a better vet back up. No way can you go into next season with cj as the main backup. No way

oh, yes it will happen.

Highly unlikely. We need an edge rusher, an OT, a big wide receiver, a corner, another ER, maybe another TE and then more OL depth. Drafting a qb would be daft.

mcglinchey, the lateral move that improved our run blocking, when we already had good pass blocking with T. Brown.

mckinnon. A backup RB with the Vikings. So him going down was the reason Jimmy couldn't find anyone open?

Yes, if our offense could barely function if a backup running back goes down, then that means our skill positions were not evaluated hard enough.

Agreed, except from my time as a 49ers fan of 43 years here in the Bay Area, the "forty whiner" nickname only applies to a select few. I know a ton of fellow diehard 49er fans that aren't whiners yet may criticize this team with actual good, football-knowledgeable points...yet they stick with the team like we do through the good and bad. And you're right...I was in the Shanahan thread and posted earlier today and also yesterday...pure comedy and many can't be serious (maybe just trolling).

He'll be 27 and 28 next season, I'm not worried, he'll be fine as long as he can stay healthy. Some People act like players don't start off the season slow and get better as it goes on. But yeah recievers not getting open was a big reason why he took 6 sacks against the Lions, that needs to be fixed and shame on ShanaLynch for not addressing it in the offseason and not getting Gordon when they had the chance

Who are you going to draft that's better. Have you seen this years draft class? Herbert is considered the best and he has only beaten one good team in his college career. He will go first and the rest of the guys would probably have a hard time making this roster. Maybe a free agent. We need all our picks for defense and a big receiver.

I think it just means we were moving forward with the idea that Jimmy could cover up a lot of issues as you would expect with a quality QB. He certainly covered up a lot of holes last season.

McKinnon was a huge addition and there was a reason why our game plan against the Vikings was basically thrown out the window after he got hurt. Didn't help that we lost 2 RGs in that game and Goodwin.

Garoppolo will be fine. He'll still have some growing pains because he still doesn't have the experience, experience that would've come this year unfortunately.

I do think it could be a blessing in disguise. Now we have to improve the roster and ensure IF Jimmy was to miss time we'd still be able to have a chance. And honestly I think expecting that to be the case already is unrealistic. You can only add so many people in free agency without going all Redskins and signing every big name salary cap/locker room be damned.
With Mullens claiming the starting job, what Do you think we can get for Jimmy ?
