It wasnt Kap never used him. Roman and Harbaugh never did. Kap didnt determine personnel groupings.

Greg Roman had Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods, Marquise Goodwin, Percy Harvin, Chris Hogan Shady McCoy and Charles Clay and still the Bills offense was an inefficient passing offense. Roman and by extension Harbaugh are clueless in the pass game.

Tough to have a dynamic passing offense with Tyrod Taylor and Colin Kaepernick....two guys that had limited success without Roman as well.

If your pass offense requires a 5 star prospect or elite top 10 pick just to be functional you aren't a very good OC or play caller. There's a reason no one has hired him to coordinate.

Offense wasn't a good pass offense with Alex either.

Offense doesnt win the SB?

Bengal offense was stopped 4 times in the red zone. Goal line stand anyone?

And guess who was the MVP in that SB....I'll give you a guess....just one....

He knew only half of Walsh's offense in 1981. They wouldn't even have made it to the super bowl without Wrights tackle of Pearson after the *catch* in the NFC championship game. Defense wins super bowls.

That's why they picked Woody for the role/movie instead of Montana #WhiteMenCantJump

Based upon last year..... not much defense, but in the end, the team/defense that stopped the opposing offense most times was the winner.

Patriots beat cawksuckers on a defensive play to win that SB.

Eli and that Giants' offense wasn't all that, but the D put Brady in check to seal the deal (TWICE)!!

Offense is key, but the D that makes the most plays usually helps the team win (offense usually gets the glory)

Didn't he have a basketball scholarship offer from NC State?
People forget what an athlete he was.

I agree, Offense needs to be good, but need not be great. Defense that makes plays is usually the better defense. But yeah, the offense usually overshadows the defense - even during our 5 super bowl wins, our defense usually gets only an after thought.

Tom brady never had a top notch defense and how many superbowl that guy won?

Did you just start watching football?

Aside from the Ravens, the Patriots had the finest defense during Brady's first three SB's.

This
That 1989 49ers defense was on the cusp of greatness. In a one game take all they could perform as well as any other ever. All but completely overshadowed by that O. The stats in the books don't tell the story for you younger fans. FYI. Wouldn't take any other defense that I have seen since 1983, over that one.....We get Dez for the red zone and it's game over.
