That sound good. The problem is illustrated by what Miami did with Suh. They had a lot of money but dumped it all in one place. Now they have problems. His cap number is $26M with only a $3.0M savings if they cut him today.

We have a lot of young players on the team who will be coming up for extensions in a year or two. What then?

How is he seen?

I imagine the 9ers wanna get this done before the draft and/or free agency, obviously

PLEASE LORD, 5 year deal!

They don't need to save money...in fact they should front load the hell out of the deal.

They could give him 60 mil in one year and still have more cap space remaining than most of the NFL.

+1

pretty sure it doesn't much work like this anymore

Front loaded, incentive stacked, 5 years, 145 mil. Done, no go sign Talib, and Bell.

Don't really want Talib or Bell.

Talibs best days behind him and he's a nutcase.

I like Bell but not sure if he's the one cut and he's gone type back you want in the Shanahan system, he's a RB and they have short shelf lives, and he'd be really expensive. I'd rather draft a few young guys and save the money for other positions.

Let's sign Talib and Crabtree

we talking about a QB here, not a DT.

if you want to consistently win in this league, and not go through the Alex Smith / Kap / Hill / JTO crap, then you need a good QB, and when one becomes available you pay them.
How did Lynch sound when asked about Jimmy G? Is it just me or he hesitated...
