I'm not nervous at all. No way it goes to franchise tag. I just want our it in the past so all our attention is on the draft and free agents. Let all the free agents know we mean business and we are going places. I have to imagine Free agents signing multi year contracts want to know QB is locked down, and franchising players doesn't play into long term security and smooth sailing.
If it goes to the tag purely because the they need to dot a few I'd and Chris a few T's in the language that's fine too. If the two sides end up deadlocked and there is no path forward that would be different. There us no way that stays quiet either.
