Jimmy and Kyle by a country mile. Alex didnt have a good season with Norv. It only appeared that way because of how abysmal he was as a rookie and some fans were enamored with "improvement."

The Alex Smith under Andy Reid was a better overall QB than Jimmy. He had good mobility, made good decisions and to an extent, took a few more chances with the ball.
I think that Smith would have been better under shanny than Jimmy and would have allowed Shanahan to open up the playbook a bit more. Shanahan might have called a more aggressive game knowing he had a guy he could trust to not get overly aggressive with it (and check it down if it wasn't there)

Thats the difference elite offensive coaching can make. Alex never had with the 49ers.

Hell yeah Jimmy would at least sling it and try. Alex was just too f**king conservative. Its puts so much pressure on the team to be perfect when you qb can't put up points.

if Jimmy was in better communication with his coaches and teammates maybe he would've been a better QB than he was.
