Yet the media don't seem interested in holding this man to the same standard in which they hold the players. Below is an interview of the woman who exposed this guy (start the video at about 5:01):

The league, the media, and the public is really giving this man a pass in terms of responsibility. This man committed a crime on Dolphins facility grounds yet its the woman who exposed him who's getting more backlash, more criticism, than him. This man gets to snort coke at work with little to no negative press!! If this were a player, or Black coach, his whole life would have been exposed and laid bare for all the world to see, every life decision second guessed and analyzed, and every mistake examined, judged, and deemed due to drug use. I'm glad this woman exposed this a$$hole. The players are getting excoriated for protesting for REAL issues that they face yet this guy escapes excoriation. Even now little to no attention is given to this. That, Sir, is the double standard in which I'm speaking of.

You see folks, that's the type of benefit of the doubt afforded to only white folks.

Its called the justice system. Where is the physical evidence?
Dumd racist and jealous people
with cocaine so you can't legally prosecute. It has nothing to do with the color of his skin. Obviously employers and media can make that assumption which is why he is now unemployed.Originally posted by 49oz2superbowl:How are we "making it" about race when the double standard is clear? Oh, I get it; we're not supposed to mention the obvious. In order to maintain the appearance of partiality we're expected to act as if the double standard isn't there.

Why do people have to make everything about race?
1- it's the justice/legal system- no one caught himwith cocaine so you can't legally prosecute. It has nothing to do with the color of his skin. Obviously employers and media can make that assumption which is why he is now unemployed.
2. The man lost his job. What the hell else do you want? And don't give me the crap that he quit and didn't lose his job. He had more time to react and knew there wasn't a chance in hell he wasn't getting fired so was proactive and resigned.
3. Double standard? Really? Have you read the Josh Gordon story. He has actual hard evidence of doing a laundry list of drugs but teams (coaches, players, owners, etc). looked the other way and always got him out of trouble.
4. Drug addicts aren't bad people, drug addiction is a disease. The guy is at rock bottom, lost his job and will have to deal with the consequences of the entire world seeing him at his lowest moment on repeat across YouTube and the media. A video he submitted in private.
5. The only double standard here is the self righteous stripper. You know who else does cocaine at their job and makes a living off illegal activities (prostitution)? Her (what do you think he was referencing in that video). She is just as low as him yet she happily blackmailed him for god knows how long. Both clearly have problems, but only one played the race card and felt self righteous in stabbing someone in the back by releasing that video to the media. If she didn't want her 15 min of fame she could have easily first submitted it to the team directly and waited for them to take action. If they didn't respond then she could have considered something more drastic. Why should she be excused of accountability? Just because she has nothing to lose doesn't mean she shouldn't face the same judgement.
