This. Overall he looked pretty good and ran with toughness. We'll next game get a chance to see him in extended action and vs. some 1st & 2nd stringers.

That is a prettylimited sample size. I'm sure Lawrence Phillips looked great while pass blocking at times.

The coaches who see him in practice on a daily basis are really the only ones who know just how much he has improved because he was awful with Tampa a year ago.

I thought he showed better then Williams in the 1st PS game. Although coaches see him everyday and know his personality so I trust their decision on him, count me in on #teamMcnichols

What's up with this guy? I think the Bucs liked him but he seemed to struggle to learn the playbook... is he in the mix for RB time this year?

Breida/Williams/McNichols ???

He sucked at blitz pickup from what I remember

Maybe just needed time in the NFL to sit snd learn

Yea he must still be struggling with learning the offense and blocking if Kyle has him that far down on he totem pole. He's a damn tank though. Bad ass runner, and a decent receiver. Gets the tough yards. Something we're greatly lacking with our group of RBs.

I don't see him making it to the practice squad if we cut him.

Everything happens for a reason. We've definitely seen lately guys running away with opportunity from someone getting injured. Can't wait until Saturday!

I'm with you. I"m really looking forward to seeing McNichols against the two's and possibly the one's with Breida out. Like you said, I think there is something like 16+ guys on the team currently with some sort of assorted injuries - now is the opportunity for the backups to showcase their talent to move up or break into the starting lineup. I'd love to see Julian Taylor get another sack from either the big end or the LEO position. I'd love to see more Julian Taylor and Pita stunts! With Kittle out, I want to see if Dwelly, Saxton, and Wick have anything that can beat out Hikutini.

Man McNichols must be pretty salty after Morris signing lol.

This is his best chance to beat out Joe Williams. I hope he takes advantage of it.
The rb spots are wide open. McKinnon is penciled in as the "starter" but Breida is gonna get touches and I think there will be a battle against Joe, Jeremy, and Alfred. Probably one of the more fun position battles during preseason.
Boom.
I wonder if that's only due to jet and Breida being banged up and Morris just came in. Let mostert and Williams rotate in the 2nd & 3rd quarters?

Yep, pretty Salty indeed, but he's got that opportunity and he's got to take it salty or not. If anything Alfred might teach NcNichols some moves and mentor the young back a little bit while Alfred is here. Once Brieda and McKinnon are back to 100% - I'm assuming it will be a McNichols, Williams, and Mostert battle for #3 Arbys. I don't think Alfred will make the 53 if all previous arby's are healthy.
