Browns released Brock Osweiler.
Cleveland made a good show of pretending to consider Osweiler for the starting job, likely in an effort to drum up trade interest. The offers never came, however, and now they are paying him $16 million to stay at home, although the second-round pick they got back from the Texans will soften the blow. DeShone Kizer will open the season as the starter.

Victor Cruz just got cut. He had a good career and was outstanding a few of those years.

Yes, I had mentioned him awhile back in a thread as did Sofa in a different one. He's an ill fit for Cleveland's heavy gap blocking scheme. He's a natural zone guard and a savy vet who could provide a nice stop gap for at least one season. He's capable of playing all the interior positions and would be an upgrade over Beadles, imo. He'd be worth exploring.

2011 NFC Championship game Cruz killed us in the first half. That damn salsa move after he scored made my blood boil. He was a little guy and the pounding was just too much. Once these smaller guys lose a step it's onto the next profession.
