Dude finally realized he wouldn't be s**t without Shanahan
I found a couple tweets that said he was #1 preseason rusher in the NFL by PFF when he was with the browns and like top 5 when he was with the Eagles.
The thing is... Once team's find out you are a special team's ace sometimes it's difficult to shake that box they put you in.
Mostert has always had the ability. But you're right that he won't find the same level success per rush in another system.
For what it's worth, didn't Thomas Clayton lead the NFL in rushing during a preseason or two? I can't use that metric to determine if a guy is a quality NFL back, though it's clear Mostert > Clayton. I think Mostert has always had the speed and this system was perfect for his skillset. I don't think most coaches know how to get the best out of all of their players. Fortunately, we have coaches who do :-).

Poor guy is only going to make just over 3 mill a year, sucks to be him. Don't know how he can possibly feed his family off that chump change
This is an interesting take. For one, I believe Mostert or even his agent to ask for a no deal at this point. But this "poor guy" idea and that guys shouldn't want/ask for more because they are making a couple of million. If you did a job that paid you 3 million a year, but say market value of 6 million or more, or you did a job where you generated serious wealth, but you saw a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of that, would you be okay with it? No one in the NFL, no matter what level you are at (practice squad, rookie contract, vet minimum, or long term deal with lots of guaranteed money) should be going to the poorhouse. But this idea that players should ask for more just because they are making a few million, consideriing the revenue they generate, as well as market value compared to players at the same positions, why should they take less?

Can we just vote as a forum to block Cohn related stuff ? I would be all for blocking the guy all he does is lie and make s**t up
Agree
Thank you. Cohn has become nothing but spam, it sucks to see him constantly on the articles and tweeter feeds. I would sign the petition 100 times or more if we can get rid of him.
He understood the marketing class that there is no such thing about bad publicity. Just make up stories that will get eye balls, true, not true, simply put the words "could"or "potentially" and it is not a lie.
Example of a future Cohn article, " CJ Beathard could potentially overtake Jimmy Garropolo as starting QB." Shannahan could have a short leash on jimmy G since he lost the Super Bowl for the 49ers.
A lot BS but is click bait
While I personally find his whole schtick to be abhorrent to the point of making me want to vomit, I would vehemently oppose any censuring of his opinion. That's the first step down a slippery slope IMO. One aught to be able to ignore him. I do.
I actually used to think that he was okay a few years back. Didn't necessarily agree with him, but thought - okay, a different point of view. But he's become arrogant and extreme over the years. Insufferable. If it's all in the interests of baiting clicks, its a sad commentary on the society we've become.
I've been told our Webmaster's opinion is support of free speech... my point is we're not censoring anything or taking away his free speech, we just don't want to see it on this site. They're not gonna take him away though.... even though the free speech argument literally doesn't apply but whatever
I agree. Not posting his articles isn't censoring him. But he literally adds absolutely nothing. Or at least nothing of value.
