I'm not convinced he'll resign with the Rams, but at least they have the option to tag him for a year so he's worth something (a 2nd round pick) in a trade. The only reason he's worth that much to the Rams is that they have a young QB (Goff) they are trying not to ruin. Watkins gives them an elite WR for at least 2 years when he's healthy.

As a Bills fan, I'm not that happy with the Darby trade. He's one of their best young players at any position and is far more talented than Jordan Matthews. The only reason you make that trade is if you're giving up on the 2017 season and playing for draft position in the 2018 draft. The 3rd round pick is worth something, but picking 4-5 spots higher in the draft because our secondary sucks may be worth more, especially if it nets one of the top 3 QBs in the class (Darnold, Allen, Rosen).

Honestly I would be livid as a bills fan. The Watkins trade isn't too bad but Darby looks like a good corner and they traded him away from an overrated wr.

Getting rid of Watkins and Darby (especially after losing Gilmore in free agency) is a decent way to tank, but we should have traded Tyrod Taylor to the Dolphins a month ago if that was the plan. The only reason I'm okay with the Darby trade is it may help us lose 1-2 more games so we're really getting back a 3rd round pick and picking higher in every round in addition to an overrated WR in Jordan Matthews. Darby may also be a better fit in a man to man scheme, but I don't think that's enough reason to offload one of your best young players.

The Watkins trade was a heck of a deal for the Bills and only happened because the Rams are worried about ruining Goff in my opinion. I'm okay with the trades on the whole, but don't like the idea of partially tanking - just blow up the roster and go all the way (like the Jets), especially in a draft where there may be 3 franchise QBs available.
Better yet, don't blow up the whole roster, but start some schmuck at QB like the Colts did with Curtis Painter in 2011 so you lose a ton of games, but have a decent roster once you land your QB (still need to continue to build out the roster which the Colts failed at doing though).

Kinda wish we didn't sign Hoyer and just rolled with Matt Barkley at QB this season now that I think about it...
Ronald Darby picks off his former team. Lol
