49er fans: Welp, looks like Mullens' career might be over. We've seen the last of him in a 49ers' uniform.

That's great News for Nick Mullen No Tommy John surgery. I'm happy he looks to make a full recovery by the start of training camp. I hope he make it on a team somewhere in the league.

Happy he will still be able to play the game he loves but I hope it's not for the Niners. Maybe we can trade him for a 5th RD pick or something. It's a shame he didn't take advantage of his playing time this season, his trade value would have went up. Alot of teams out there need a QB.

Agree. I think a 5th would be a reasonable trade value in my mind. I also don't see him on this team next year because I'm betting Rosen and BeatHard are going to be on the team ahead of him and possibly a QB daft pick in the 2021 draft on top of that. BeatHard looked OK operating Kyle's offense - not too dissimilar from Mullens and BeatHard has more physical talent on top of that. A fifth round pick would be sweet for an UDFA.

he's a RFA, so we can't trade him at the moment. But he can be a Jet for all I care...

Clearly, the 49ers are looking at upgrading the backup and perhaps starting QB position. Any chance they don't sign him back since he's not being tendered? I figured they'd be choosing between Beathard/Mullens, but any chance they both gone?

I seriously wonder what (if any) trade offers we received for Mullens. Hindsight is always 20/20, but that trigger should have been pulled.

Hearing that the #49ers are not going to tender QB Nick Mullens as a restricted free agent. Mullens is rehabbing from elbow surgery. The door is open for the 49ers to re-sign him later in the offseason.
