He already was, lol.

Mullens did way better than anyone expected, probably why hes still underrated. His 8 game stats projected over a 16 game season are pretty impressive considering all the injuries on offense.
64.2% passing
4554 yards
26 TD's
8.3 ypa

you're thinking of 8 more games against the Raiders.... right???

by the way, is that Mullen or Frank Cushman??

Consider his supporting cast and the Raiders game was just 1 out of 8. Also the first Niner QB to beat the Seahawks since 2013.

Well since you never played football let me explain to you that when you beat a rival that has been dominant over you it opens the door of confidence. You no longer have that damn we gotta play them twice mentality it definitely changes the next time you face them.

Thank you Tankle ...for pointing out the obvious and which others just flat out disregarded. This is one lovely woman. Jeez.

I'd say the jury is still out on this one. His rookie year was very good, all things considered, so there is at least some promise for him to develop into a full time starter. Good problems for the 49ers to have, right?

If re-drafting nick mullens, would he go in the 5th round or later?

In the last 5 years, there have only been five late round draft picks/UDFAs who have thrown 100+ passes as a rookie: Mullens, 6th round picks Zach Mettenberger and Jeff Driskel, and 4th round picks Dak Prescott and Bryce Petty. When it comes to Petty, who was terrible, he got a chance (and a second chance) only due to Christian Hackenberg being worse than him. Driskell took over in Cincinnati after Andy Dalton was injured, and while he was not good, he wasn't any worse than your average rookie quarterback. Mettenberger was the Titans third string quarterback, and also performed like a typical rookie. Prescott and Mullens were above-average starters, of course.

Ah, moon, c'mon. Good grief.
