Why? He has been a fantastic pick for a 7th rounder, hes on a rookie contract and he can play special teams. Nothing not to like here imo.
He's been so underwhelming this year and I can't help but think the management has given up on him. Yes he's a 7th and can play ST, but we can get new ST fillers any year. We never hear this guys name called and the angles he's taken on deep balls have been horrendous
Yeah but you're implying we should get rid of him. He's had one good year and one not so good as a starter. No reason to get rid of a player on a rookie contract who can possibly help the team even if he's not a starter.
This. The entire defense completely fell off a cliff from the last 8 games last year. Colbert has also been injured every game. In this Rams game, it looked like he was just starting to get healthy again.
I think the DC, scheme and players need to be fully evaluated this off season.
It's way too early to write any young player off right now. That doesn't mean you shouldn't entertain an upgrade either.
