Just because draftnicks had a late round grade on him doesn't mean NFL front offices did. Only takes one team to like the kid, and he's gone before we pick in the 4th.

If you're Kyle, and you're only targeting one QB in the draft, you do what you can to go get him.
Sounds like a Rothlisberger mentality regards to injuries.
The chosen one
Hard to fathom this is the only QB Shanny wanted in this draft class. That's got to tell you something. I sure do hope this work outs, but it'll take a few years for Beathard to be even remotely ready.

We have Hoyer for now and Kyle has a 6 year deal so finding a franchise QB isnt an immediate priority

But we gotta get one....soon
After reading more about him, things sound good. Best case scenario imo he turns into the QB this team needs and makes the 2 scrubs we have now expendable. Then there would be no need for K Cousins next year. Wishful thinking but one can dream. However, I like the proven commodity in Cousins, and him coming here more atm.
CJ is this years Montana or Brady.

I hope you're right but we heard that when Jeff Driskel was drafted a year ago same round as Brady
Yes, the call comes out perennially.

But drafted by a regime that had absolutely no clue what was going on

the more I watch his highlights, the more he reminds me of the old Falcons' Chris Miller !!
His best year as a pro came during the 1991 season for the Falcons when he threw for over 3000 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Miller was picked 13th in the first round. it would be a steal if he is as good as Miller.
