Should call up the Eagles and ask if they're interested in a trade. Their backup QB went down. Wentz cant stay healthy.

I'd even take small compensation for him at this point. Like a 6th rounder

I highly doubt our third string QB is on anyone's radar for a trade.

Generally, but Beathard has like 10 or more starts in the NFL and has shown decent play with good grit and good touch on the deep ball. Supply/Demand, could be worth something in a trade.

10 or more starts isn't much. And they were not very impressive starts. He can't even beat out a guy who went undrafted. There are plenty of better prospect QBs than CJ Beathard out there.

Let's not ignore the fact that he had both Rivers and Rodgers beat had his teammates not made critical mistakes to help cost the game.

I"m hoping he kills it in todays game so his trade value goes up!

Most teams cut guys like CJ, with the expectation being that if the starter gets injured later on, the CJ guy will be sitting on a couch somewhere playing Madden waiting for a phone call.

That's not likely. CJ may not be a starter but have you looked at what other teams have. He may be able to start for a couple of them but he's definitely good enough to back up. He may be a better fit with another system. If you need to bring in a guy that's 'sitting on a couch' then it's better to have one that knows the offense.

1-9 record with his turnovers? Let's just say we agree to disagree. Guys like Mark Sanchez, who has been the starter in two conference championship games, are still relatively young, sitting on a couch playing Madden waiting for a phone call.

That was a looooong time ago (Sanchez). CJ will get a pass for another year because the team was bad and he's young. If he looks more of the same, then he's done. I'm not calling Sanchez under any circumstances.

Sanchez was a bad example, but if you look around the league at guys who have been discarded in recent years, you'll find quite a few veterans who have done better than 1-9 with more INTS than TDs. CJ is young and we spent a 3rd round pick on him; that's why he's here. Oh, and Jimmy G.'s injury last year. If he were older or a UDFA or our starting QB never missed a game he'd be on the team for another 21 days max. As it is, he's got 3 weeks to show why he deserves to stay, and maybe Kyle will keep 3 QBs anyway.

Fully expect him to look bad today. Dallas has a good defense.

I guess Beathard did not live up to expectations. He actually looked pretty decent out there. Both he and Mullen had a TD and an interception. It will be interesting to see how he does next game.
C.J. is still poor at "feeling the pressure"
CJ's throw deep to KB was a thing of beauty.

He's a true backup. Dude will make millions for 10+ years and keep his jersey clean and body healthy. Nick definitely has some potential to get more starting opportunities in this league.

I tend to agree, but Mullens can't really throw past 25 yards. Dude has a Shaun Hill noodle arm.
Drew Lock busted up his hand...sounds like he might be out for a little.

Trade his ass to Denver!

They got Hogan who is like the same thing as Beathard.
