I was throughly impressed with his progression(assuming this is who he is now, which is by no means a definitive thing). Although, it won't be enough to get us to .500, the amount of injuries and the lack of pass defense and tackling is going to haunt us for the entire year.

20 pta is not enough to win against even an average offense, add two turnovers and giving the opponents great field position and it is not enough.

Much improved Beathard though.

yes he can get hit, but he did not play well by any stretch of the imagination yesterday. we've gotten so used to s**tty offense that you guys are excited about this dude?

No one is "excited" about how he played. To say he did not play well by any stretch of the imagination yesterday is absurd. He played fine. Not amazing. Not bad. Fine. Like I said last night, you could make a logical argument that yesterday was the best game a Niner quarterback has played all season long.

just because you made an argument yesterday doesnt mean its true sir lol. please explain how he played better than Jimmy did his first two games this year? he threw two picks yesterday that he lazerbeamed off of peoples hands. thats what Kap used to do before he became a vegan and was breaking peoples fingers and his throws seemed to sail on him most of the time. CJ was ok but theres no way he outplayed Jimmy's stupid ass

most of us are just excited he did not stink up the joint. most of his mistakes were not on him. i said most.. and at least he did put the team in a spot to win. now sad to say.. just like last year under his play and with almost the same team. we again found a way to lose.

Point taken. I did not take out the defensive touchdown. One of the interceptions aren't really on him though.

An interception with three minutes left in the game.

Agreed. Celek gave it away.

Agree. Beathard made a ton of plays. Even his couple of questionable throws were technically on the money but would've required great plays from receivers. You'd like to see him get rid of it faster on the game ending play but... Outside of that, there were no turnovers or other major mistakes he was at fault for. We didn't have much of a running game and we were without each of our three best offensive linemen for various stretches of the game.

it may not have been on him. but it was what it was and we saw the result. point taken. i just think we are stuck with him for the rest of the year? he would have to get hurt or just play horrible sunday in the first half to get the kid in??

i understand the injuries but man we have to run the ball against anyone. we can not be so arrogant to assume we can win sunday cuz the cards are below par
