I'm sure if Celek didn't screw up and we had the ball down at the 2, they would have punched it in and all the negative CJ posters would be singing a different tune. That play took the wind out of their sails. CJ isn't the problem. Looked like he was the only one that really wanted that win by sacrificing his body.

i think kyles game management defense and yes mistakes by cj led to the loss. and poor special teams play,. you and i will agree to disagree on the defense getting better as you say. i think its worse and we missed so many tackles in key spots when we needed stops it was nuts. i think a couple picks were not the fault of cj but they were picks and were killers

i agree with you. i was not even that mad about the last pick. i did not think it was his fault as he got hit. i also do not think there is anyone out there who can step in and play better than cj, again maybe that is the cc low bar side of me talking
Over/under he lasts 3 games?

CJ gives the Niners the best chance of winning right now. Everybody talks about how complex the Shanny system is and he has 2 full off seasons under his belt studying the system. He looked comfortable when he had time and did make more good than bad reads. People need to relax for now. Like I said, if they scored instead of Celek allowing the int, everybody here would be praising the kid.
CJ has matured into a pretty darn good NFL qb. Was getting killed back there. At least one of those picks wasn't on him. San Diego scored points on like 5 straight drives. He is one tough kid

Well said cciowa. CJ was the best player on the field. Period. Maybe Kittle is in that argument.

Anybody putting that loss on CJ shouldn't be aloud to like watch football again
Let's see if Saleh can cut the consecutive apponent scoring drives to like 3-4 instead of 5. This is pathetic.

I don't think either of the INT's are on him. Pass protection failed him on the 2nd one.

20 points is not enough offense against a team like the Chargers.

ok, i did not say he was elite. i said he was fine! as you said. fine will probably not cut it against alot of teams . i just think cj is who we have for the rest of the year. i would rather see the team improve the pass protection or the defense if they are to make some sort of a roster move this year. maybe i just have a very low bar and i do predict four wins for this team. but in regards to cj i am fine with him

He lost the game, not the defense. More than fine would have won the game.

Not sure if serious.
He's one tough dude, happy to have him as our back up. Now only if the receivers can catch the ball in crucial situations...

Garcon and Cekek with more drops.

We must be on some record pace with missed tackles, lack of turnovers on defense, drops and penalties.

First one hit the TE in the hand so it's hard to fault him but I really wish he would have hit Morris in the flat. Rivers did it time after time to us. He was uncovered an it was first down.

Bad luck on the int though.

He had the ball and time to score he turned it over. That is not more than fine. 20 points isn't enough to be more than fine either.

I am happy with his play overall and the improvement.
