QB CJ Beathard - signs with Jacksonville

I honestly don't see this game going much differently with Jimmy. MAYBE Jimmy finds Breida on that one missed play inside the five that led to a field goal, or MAYBE Jimmy engineers a game-winning drive. That's about it, though. Beathard played a good game for a backup, all things considered.

If you lose that's actually great! Get us closer to Bosa!

Backup QBs should be able to win too. You can't even expect Beathard to be a decent game manager. Shanny seriously couldn't find a better backup to run his offense better than this guy??

And which available QB out there is going to come in and run this offense?? Nick Foles, Colin Kaepernick????

Get real dude. That first sentence was the dumbest thing I read all day. Nick Foles has some of ya'll believing in the tooth fairy
That s**t they pulled to win the SB rarely happens, takes a lot of b******t luck too!

Looked better today than at any time during this past preseason. Neither of his INTs were a result of a bad decision. Good showing by BeatHard.

Would have liked him to go to the back in the flat on the red zone INT. He appears to be uncovered. The pics are with ball still in hand
and right before the throw

Watching in game, I saw the flat wide open and thought it was a poor throw, but watching the replay the throw was fine and hit Celek in his hands. However, it looked like a spot concept to me and getting the flat receiver wide open is a goal of that concept and it appeared like we got that.

49ers select QB CJ Beathard - Round 3, Pick 104 played well...didn't deserve to lose.
CJ Beathard is a legit QB, he plays hard and can throw the the ball. Loss wasn't even close to his fault. Hope we can eventually improve our pass rush

Troll alert
After losing Jimmy G and feeling the doom and gloom it's nice to see Beathard come through. Compared to last year he seems to be quicker in the pocket and there were designed plays to get the ball delivered on 3 step drops, which he did. He showed nice touch on throws, two in particular to Garcon. Nobody will question his toughness. This kid is starting to win me over, now let's put up some W's.

Nice post, my thoughts exactly, he played well enough to win against a decent team on the road.

I'm not sure who takes full responsibility for protection adjustments between him and Richburg but they need to do better, pretty much every time Derwin James came up he blitzed and came Scott free, ended up costing us the game.
Cj did pretty well. Should have taken off to get the first down late in the game but it was just after you got hammered. Probably got told don't do that again. I think he's fine I think he looks a little better than last year

No.

According to the nt posters and the gameday thread, he is bum. Bench him now. Start mullens. We should have gotten cousins.
CJ Badass.
