Yup and and celek dropping that pass near the end zone, causing an interception.

Oh, now you've done it.

I stand by it. CJs "mistakes" today were not his fault. And he still had a really good game statistically.

He looks like he's improved since last year. Maybe not a star qb but he's not a lifetime backup either.

Can't really put a ceiling on a second year qb. But he looks better and improving. It's all good. There's something about Beathard even since last year that you can see he's very capable of being a starter.

Sort of reminds me of a modern day Jim Harbaugh, as a player.
he really reminds me of a slightly more athletically gifted Case Keenum. Smart guy!

He did fantastic today. Looked better than garappolo in his decision making. Actually looked like how garappolo played at the end of last year. Fast decision making. Getting the ball out quick. If our defense wasnt such a s**t, id say our playoff hopes were still very much alive

I don't think CJ was the problem today.... In fact, I thought he was very solid....accurate, made quick decisions, showed good leadership, and made some plays. I thought he definitely showed improvement from last season. If he plays like that going forward, cool.

Basically, Celek cost the team the game today. Even if he drops that ball but doesn't allow it to be picked on the goal line, the Niners probably win. That play resulted in a 10 point swing. The team lost by 2....simple math.

Keep fighting CJ!

Cheers!

Gotta say I'm proud af of CJ. He deserved to win. He actually seemed like he picked up the offense. Too bad this defense is pitiful.
Toughest SOB I've ever seen .

I've got nothing but love for BeatHard. Kid is unreal. Every time he plays he gets murdered but this time, this year, it wasn't from him holding the ball too long, being indecisive, etc. Kid could legit keep us in just about every game now if not for all the s**t around him.
You are being way to kind to call rest of team sh!t.

The Niners have a definitely brutal remaining stretch of games for the defense to try to stop people. Best case scenario still probably around 8 wins sadly but I want to see Beathard excel and hopefully Sherman and Tartt's return get the defense enough of a boost to compete.

There are plenty of winnable games if our defense does step up, but our offense may not be great every week either so it all likely balances out.

Cardinals x 2
Seattle split
Raiders on Thursday
Giants
Bucs

That's actually 7 wins maximum. I don't see us having a chance to beat the Rams, Broncos, Bears, or Hawks on the road.

Celek needs to stop trying to catch against his body. Put your damn hands out in front of you!

No CJ isn't better then Jimmy. Jimmy still has the better arm, quickest release, and more talent. However that being said I think CJ can play in this league and win games, difference is he will need a better defense. CJ is a game manager QB, not putting him down just a different type of QB. GM QBs can win superbowls also, look at several in history that have done so. Manning at end of his career and the dude from Baltimore come to mind.

He's improved and can run a bit which is helpful. Throws some ducky passes sometimes but they usually get there.

He deserved to win. He did enough. Defense needs to step up.
