Any chance he gets in trouble for illegally owning a gun fue to weed? I know someone who faced some trouble with a weed and gun charge. It was a tacked on charge to go with much more serious ones.

Lol, now that weed is legal in CA? And that it isn't proven he was under the influence of weed, or that it was even his? That's a long stretch.

Read the article, weed being legal has nothing to do with it. Marijuana users are banned from firearm ownership under federal law.

Well, it isn't stopping gun owners in Nevada. I've seen a few patients with side arms come into the dispensaries here as well as the security guards who are also patients/users. Of course they can not enter the main room with them and customers are asked to leave their guns in the car, but there it is. Good luck enforcing that law, if it's even true. The article itself is a complete joke, and I doubt it's claims. I'd check the facts and do a little research first before posting as if it's gospel. Sounds unconstitutional to me.

Glad to see the ATF has thie priorities straight. Its the weed users, not the people with clear mental problems or mulitple incidents with law enforcement, that need their guns taken away.

It seems like a 2nd Amendment issue but apparently the ban has stood up in the courts.

Yeah, I get it... This old law, however, will be removed as soon as marijuana is decriminalized federally. Nevada marijuana patients are registered and get their cards through the DMV, so they know who is a patient and who owns a gun, yet it is not regularly enforced here, nor should it.

"The Gun Control Act of 1968 prohibits anyone from possessing guns if they use or are addicted to cannabis."Christopher Morales, San Francisco criminal defense attorney

The exact wording of the federal law prohibits any "unlawful user" or addict of cannabis (or any other federally restricted substance) from purchasing guns, even if that individual resides in a state with legal medical or adult-use cannabis laws.

I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worse.

Santa Clara is trying their best to throw the damn book at any 49er player that gets arrested.

8 games. If Zeke got 6 without even being charged and no guns or weed then i think Foster is looking at 8 games.

Since when has equal justice ever come out of the NFL office? They are the very definition of swaying with public opinion over or under reacting. Ray Rice beat the sit out of a woman so bad she was unconscious, and it was on video, and got a two game suspension. Wes Welker got 4 games for getting caught using Adderall ... lol. Goodell must have a dart board with numbers on it in his office. and he throws the dart right before he announces the punishment length.

Therein lies the problem. Goodell is the fair haired boy for the owners because he can hold up the TV networks for insane contracts...and he keeps doing it. But get him out of the contract business and the guy has the knowledge /smarts of a hammer. Give him a disciplinary case to manage or rule on and he can be guaranteed to rule something different each and every time for similar rules infractions or law breaking. He seems to have virtually no sense in making disciplinary rulings, and Bluesboro's dart board sounds like as good a description of how the commish rules as anything else. In a game where some rules need to be laid down and followed Goodell fails virtually every time. Overruling, under ruling, interpreting new rulings...he seems to just not get it, and is grossly unfair in a number of instances, on both sides of the coin. Ray rice on one side, and Zeke on the other...are two examples that instantly come to mind. I swear i will not read about is ruling on Reuben until it is long since over and done with. I just go nuts every time he does something else stupid.
