I guess it just depends on the employer. At work if someone refuses to take the test, its as if it was a positive result.

True, but the NFL might not have asked him to take a test yet, thus he has time to clean his system prior to them getting to him. I think he will get a fine, and be put on more in and off season random testing.
"Not really. Any MH professional will tell you of an addictive personality in identification of addiction and the inability to shake it".

Not true. I was a Mental health Professional for over 35 years before I retired and still have two National Level Certifications for Addictions Treatment (RAS and CAS).
Addictive personality is neither a diagnosis or condition.

His pattern of behavior indicates significant anti-social personality tendencies (Cluster B traits for all you clinicians out there) and this is hard to shake as evidenced by recent arrest. He is like Aldon Smith and Chris Culliver which is why I expressed concern that he was taken so high. Someone like that can never be counted on.

I still can't believe people think of pot like this. It's harmless. There is zero reason it should be illegal or even against NFL policy. Yeah it's a dumb decision for him to break NFL rules. However the fact that the NFL even screens for pot is ridiculous. It is a thousand times more safe than alcohol or prescription pain meds. To those that say he's aldon 2.0 would you rather him be stuck on legal opiods than pot? Prolly the same group that wants to keep it illegal because they don't use it. Absolutely hypocritical unless you don't drink take pills or anything.

I don't think it's more handful then alcohol or some prescription drugs as i said in my post on 15. I personally don't smoke anything. I think based off training I've received on the subject that it does have medicinal use but also can have a negative impact on people as well. That's not my point though..... My point is that saying it's healthy for you is factually incorrect. However your right when you say alcohol and prescription drugs are most likely worse and abused more then Marijuana.

What pisses me off though is that he is being selfish and putting himself before the team. There is all kinds of stuff I want to go do but can't because it would risk my livelihood, ability to provide to my family, and possibly jail. Weed is not a big deal, but it clearly shows his inability to follow simple rules and be mature.
What an absolute moron. Regardless of legality issue, this shows a complete lack of decision making and respect. A team and teammates are invested in this guy. Its banned for him, he knows it and he didn't care.

~ Arrested for drug offenses.

He just finished his 1st year. His 1st year...... I expect more to come. We haven't seen anything yet.

Aldon Smith 2.0.

This

Its just the beginning.

This guy says it will likely be a hefty fine.

This is strike 2 Reuben. One more and he can join Aldon Smith on the street.
Micah Kiser come on down.

Listen to him at the beginning of that vid. He is what we need.

An 8 year old kid?! I'm not a mathematician, but by my math that means he had a child at 15, likely conceived at 14. This speaks to his judgement, and this pot charge is but the latest, and I doubt will be the last. Yeah, Lynch and Shanny need to address his position in the draft and in FA. We've seen this before; anyone remember Aldon Smith? A message has to be sent. We cannot afford to suffer these kind of irresponsible players. So, to cover ourselves, we need to view the ILB as a position of need.

I agree that because of the rules of the NFL it's a dumb move. I smoke daily. I would quit immediately if it affected my job. However I would challenge you to explain to me what the negative impact pot has on people. No instance of overdose or lung disease or cancer or anything. I wouldn't classify it as healthy just not a negative. Like any food. By itself it's perfectly fine. In excess it may be a problem financially or socially.

I wonder why he was pulled over in the first place. Or what the event was that led to Foster getting searched.

Reuben was walking the streets of Tuscaloosa, no f**ks given, with a huge joint hanging from his mouth.

Lol no mames. I need more facts but like some other posters are saying on here, he needs to have one of his homeboys carry that s**t and take the hit if need be. I'm hoping Rueben learns from this. 🙏🏻😇🌲

Sure, I'm in agreement there. I'm just stating he's got a loooooong way to go to reach Aldon's level, so I'm more apt to see how he responds before going there.

Also, I'd refrain from pulling the addiction card just yet. Pot is not like alcohol or other drugs in addiction. I'm more inclined to believe he's just a 20 year old kid who doesn't have the foresight, nor the concept of wealth we older dudes have. Hopefully, someone injects him with some wisdom and he moved forward a better man. Honestly, i'd be more concerned with an alcohol related incident at this point.

Just as easily we evoke Aldon comparisons, we could also evoke Von Miller ones too. Could go either way.

Sure, I didn't mean to draw a perfect parallel but just an example of that addictive mindset and a heed of caution for fans. If a young man is already making huge poor life decisions like this around a substance, any substance, it's a serious concern and may just be a snap shot in time...meaning he's been like this for years. Does anyone believe now that Aldon had MH issues and became an alcoholic and pot head overnight because CK stole his g/f? Of course not...it was there for years.

No need to castrate the kid but we shouldn't simply dismiss it either. The 'early signs' are showing. Now it's up to him which direction he swings.

Fortunately, he loves football more than anything so that might be enough to clean up his act. The flip side is he loves football more than anything in life and he's still riskng it for weed.
Alabama needs to stop arresting people for cannabis possession.
The NFL needs to get with the times and stop punishing players for using cannabis. It is a personal choice matter and cannabis offers health and healing benefits for players.
Please don't be Aldon 2.0

Nah, it's Alabama. Probable cause was probably the color of his skin.

Dat too

A lot of black people live in Alabama. Are you suggesting that every black person that gets pulled over is getting arrested for probable cause of possession of marijuana? Let's be honest the fools did something to give themselves away.
