The Patriots cut him before he was ever convicted. If there was guaranteed money that the Patriots had to pay out, nothing he did after he was cut and no longer under contract matters.

I don't know how the whole situation with the bonus money shakes out but him committing suicide pretty much puts an end to the civil lawsuits against him and allows his family to retain whatever money they happened to have left.

Thanks for the clarification. I hope there's enough for the daughter to live comfortably until she can finish school and support herself.

Reports have been circulating this week following the death of Aaron Hernandez that the former NFL player murdered one of his friends to cover up being outed as gay.

Newsweek reported on Friday that Hernandez murdered Odin Lloyd in 2013 because Lloyd had found out Hernandez was bisexual.
