I understand vigorish (vig = commission for Sports Book or local bookie), my man, I'm not arguing. I'm out here in vegas... Vegas ain't really all bout letting anyone bet for free

When we get into the SB odds like Seahawks 12/1 or Pats 18/5 (example) http://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/futures/ OR point spreads http://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/las-vegas/ ... now we're really talking odds.

It's all gambling / betting tho, so technically even the vig is partially a part of the odds (a little), imo, because it makes the bettor consider whether or not he likes the idea of paying certain commissions (some big is higher / lower on certain spreads) on certain games...

Any frikken ways lol, I'll take the over as well... I think this team is about to get coached up real well on all 3 units. We have a few playmakers and solid depth compared to last couple of years. My prediction (7-9).

The vig never really represents the odds. The vig actually represents the betting public. The vig will adjust to get even bets/money coming in.

If the vig gets to lopsided they simply change the spread or point total.

I'm no expert, my man, but sometimes the odds on other sports (baseball especially) look slightly different and the vig is somewhat misleading (imo). That being said, there's always odds on the game (who will be the winner of the game) so, even if it isn't obvious, i.e., Patriots -3 1/2 vs Bears, there's always a favorite unless the spread is even...

It gets confusing even after that because (let's just say Bears vs 49ers but no favorite) it could be -115 for 49ers to win and -105 for Bears to win. The vig kinda just ****s things up and usually helps Sports Books / Bookies beat the average Joes (which is majority of bettors).

The vig is added into the line (it's part of the oddsmaker's numbers, which is somewhat tweaking with spread/odds), especially money line, hence I mentioned earlier, the vigorish is partially part of the odds (imo).

Here is the thing!!! Every game has a moneyline, point spread and vig.

You only pay vig on handicapped bets. If you play the Moneyline their is no vig...

Just like with parlays.
