Our passing game is going to be better than it has ever been. The only thing is Garcon and Jimmy's chemistry needs to be worked on during this off season. Working with a speedster like Goodwin can throw a QB off, but with Taylor and Jared, D's will not know if it is a run or play action, especially when its 2nd and short, will be a lot of stress on the D. Now that they full off season, the playbook can be expanded.

I expect the niners to surprise, those teams that will be using last year to figure out the offense will be in for a rude awakening. I do expect some rough spots in the beginning, especially for Jimmy as he operated on just a small portion of the play book and it allowed him to act and improvise. Now, his thought process might slow if he has to think to much about the play.

Hopefully, with Garcon's return and the addition of Pettis, it will open up Goodwin even more.
That's a bold statement.

Goodwin is a top notch #2. Top 3 speed in NFL. Telling y'all now, Peters can't stay stride with him.

Agreed Smoke, Goodwin was a huge surprise last year, and got rewarded with a very nice, team friendly deal, $6M a yr is not bad for a quality #2 WR with speed, plus after his wife and him losing their child, it was nice to see him get rewarded.

It was really nice to see what he could do with a real QB. He never had that before Jimmy. He was in BUF with Tyrod Taylor throwing him the ball. He showed that he wasn't a slightly faster version of Torrey Smith who could only run 3 routes. He really started to be able to use his speed as a way to set up other routes and it was nice to see what could happen when a QB who can throw with anticipation can do with a guy who makes corners give him an 8-10 yard cushion at all times.

Watch Goodwin at the top. He runs the Corner inside, makes him turn his hips fully then puts his foot in the ground and breaks outside. How you cover that?

I don't think you can with that defense. They looked like they were geared to stop the run and bit hard on the Play Fake. I think the only way to stop that is to go nickel and don't bite on the play fake and concede the run and play pass.
Quise looked really fast today, game ready in May !

Very excited to see Garcon Vs Talib and Goodwin Vs Peters. Our WR core>their db core.

As long as Jimmy has time and a clear lane to pass.
