If they're not a patriot fan, people like the idea of Brady getting traded and it's just wishful thinking especially when he and the patriots are on the cusp of winning 6 or maybe even 7 superbowls

Helps when mobility was never part of your game. Don't lose what u never had
It has been the perfect storm..
- Great system
- Great HC
- Pocket passer with excellent lines
- chip on his shoulder from being a 6th rd pick - making him work harder than everyone else
- an era of advanced science and nutrition
- league rules making it easier for a QB to last longer
Honestly, I doubt we will ever see this again.
Wtf didn't you say in the Montana thread that advanced science and nutrition advantage between eras was hogwash?

i cant believe alot of people he think there is no way this could happen. Of course it could happen. Patriots will trade anyone that they can feel like they could win without. and i do see Brady as the guy who will continue to play, even when people think he is no good. I bet alot of people never thought Montana or Manning would be 1-team guys

this is why i thought about this thread. The likelyhood of him getting traded is extremely low. But lets say he starts to decline a little. People are going to tell him to retire, and he always wants to play with a chip on his shoulder, and it could get him motivated to play more, even if its for another team.

This.
I think Brady retires when he is ready. Never traded, he is a Patriot for life.

As a head coach perhaps. Not the player.

Brady isn't going to go somewhere and learn a new system at his age. Absolutely zero chance!!!!

If he ever gets traded (highly doubtful) and takes the next team and wins a superbowl, then I'll concede as he is the GOAT. But I think he'll stay exactly where he is, and not risk his precious image. Learning a new system late in his career? Peyton did it and won a bowl, so then again maybe. BUT, he was cut, so didn't have a choice.

Look at their ages when they got traded/ cut. 37 still possible that they can have a multi year run. Brady is already 40. I don't see him going to a new team this late into his career. If NE says they're moving on he'll call it.
