If the defense can't stop the Cardinals woeful offense, that is going to be the ultimate slap to the face.

The DL is healthy, the LB's are healthy, and the DB's are better with the backups (except for Sherm). With a damn near healthy squad his group is s**t.

Missed tackles play into it, but I just don't think Saleh is cut out to be a D coordinator and he needs to go now. BYE BYE Saleh you are the weakest link

I don't want to sound cliche. But this is the NFL. It's a tackle game. And the Niners can't even do the #1 fundamental skill of the game. It's f#$king pathetic.

I'm actually intrigued by this defense. I've heard of Bend But Don't Break, why not have both?

McVay brings in Wade Phillips as his DC...Shanahan brings in Saleh..granted Shanahan was hired later, but the choice of Saleh was very poor.

The poor choice was keeping him for year 2 when he had plenty of opportunity to hire another more experienced DC.

We're scoring 25 points a game but giving up 30.2 points a game.

By all reports, Saleh was the 3rd choice of those that were still available to even consider.

In fairness, the team tackled much better in the 1st half but seemed to forget how to do it in the 2nd half. That suggests to me that it is a player deal, not DC.

Watched this whole game with tackling in mind and why they weren't wrapping up. Just has to be either bad coaching trying to account for more aggressive penalty calls by refs or lack of heart. When I saw a really good hard tackle I knew it was Foster. When another player made a good clean tackle it was Warner. The DBs are just horrible, running into ball carriers standing straight up or trying to shoulder them to the ground. I'd like to blame rule changes but no other team seems to be having this trouble to such an extent.

Yes, it was really difficult to watch! Particularly Gordon being hit by six or seven niners before someone remembered to wrap up.
