The man has had good defenses wherever he has gone.

Lol

No. I rather promote Bradley.

Promoting Bradley would be a massive mistake, in my opinion. Would much rather throw everything we have at Schwartz.

Id love Schwartz, but he may become browns HC

That. I also saw a report where if they don't the Browns would like whoever is hired to retain him as D.C. there was also a similar report involving Ulbrich in Atlanta. We will see if Stefanski follows through with that.

Who are our top options when Saleh leaves?
please don't be Gus Bradley

Jim Schwartz>Raheem Morris>Gus Bradley

Yeah, that is the list pretty much. I think they see K.J. Wright as an option eventually, but he's still has the title of Defensive Quality Control coach.

Schwarz is a d!ck, do not want, can't see him fitting in to the Shannalynch culture

I only know about handshake gate. What has he done? Also didn't Coach K come up under Schwartz? Seems like it would be a fit philosophically.

if Schwartz can help us get another ring, even if it's only for a year.. let him be a punk!!
Schwartz > Saleh imho.
I came away unimpressed with Bob Saleh this season. I never once saw a buttoned up in-sync defense that executed on a game plan. It was always helter skelter with Bob cheering on from the sidelines. I never saw a game won on designed scheme.

Bob Saleh looked pretty mediocre without all world defensive players.

McDermott fired from Buffalo. Saleh most likely getting one of these jobs

Wow. I don't love McDermott, but not sure this is the right move for Buffalo.

How would Saleh be an upgrade for Buffalo? McDermott has done a pretty good job there. They've just been unfortunate to have had to go through the Ravens and the Chiefs every year. This year looked like his best chance with those teams out but they had to go against a team that has been wnning close games all year because of their defense.

I dont see him getting the Buffalo, Pitt or Steelers jobs.

Would he take a crap job like Titans etc? Not sure.
The problem with Buffalo wasn't McDermott....it's the GM and the lack of talent around Josh Allen.

Im not sure why youre replying to my post with this.

Im not comparing their roster to Seattles. I'm talking about scheme. Mike McDonald had his scheme in Baltimore and then he built it in Seattle. The scheme was innovative.

Saleh was the DC in 2019. We had a great defense and all kind of great talent. Buckner, Armstead, Ford, Bosa dline. Warner and Greenlaw at LB. Ward at safety and Sherman at corner.

And yet the scheme wasn't anything special. It was simply get pressure with four with an elite line and play sound on the back end. There wasnt any exotic looks, there wasnt double blitzers, nothing of the sort.

Do you see what Im talking about ? McDonald took the Fangio 3-4 zone scheme that is known for being passive and playing off talent, and made it exotic, unpredictable and scary.

Their scheme is rush 4 ninety percent of the time, control the block, then shed it all while they collapse the pocket.

It is just RAW talent getting it done. Leonard Williams is DOMINANT, Lawrence is Dominant.

I imagine all 4 of their starters would start on every team in the NFL in any scheme.

So like Saleh, it is a good scheme made spectacular due to talent.
If he leaves.

I'd hire a McDonald guy.

that defense is legit

And the GM was just promoted to President of football operations for the Bills.

Classic power struggle.

The best QB with an arm as good as we've ever seen and he has terrible receivers. Allen should sue for non support.
