Robert Saleh - Head Coach - Tennessee Titans

What's their plan with Kendricks? Not surprised that he hasn't started yet if the goal is to get him in game-shape. He's been on ST these last two games which indicates they are ramping him up, as I'm not sure if he has historically been a ST player.

Bethune's run defense is really good, but Kendricks' coverage skills are needed on the field. AFAIK, Kendricks is a decent run defender himself.

Some big adjustments are needed and I'm not sure that's possible with what we currently have to work with, but Saleh Is a top tier defensive coach, so hopefully he'll think of something to stop the bleeding.

Agreed. Not having Green / Stout has made a difference.

Lenoir, Green and Stout are underrated and easily the best defensive-positional group we have this year. Being without any of them is a massive blow to a defense that doesn't have great pieces elsewhere.

Agreed. Not having Green / Stout has made a difference.

Lenoir, Green and Stout are underrated and easily the best defensive-positional group we have this year. Being without any of them is a massive blow to a defense that doesn't have great pieces elsewhere.

Especially neither the safeties or the lbs can cover.

can we start with tackling.

this goofball diving at the feet of the RB is driving me crazy.

Our safeties just seem too inconsistent.

Like Brown makes a nice play on 3rd down underneath.. then gets burnt somewhere else.

Mustapha took a horrible angle at the LOS (might have been on that 20 yard TD run).

I don't know what to feel... We've seen this for a few years now from them. But we've also seen Lenoir grow into his position after some struggles years back.

I don't know what to feel... We've seen this for a few years now from them. But we've also seen Lenoir grow into his position after some struggles years back.

Mustapha is so full of potential but hasn't leveled up yet.
I think he needs to be surrounded by strong leaders which the defense is short of at the moment.

As bad as the defense this last few games, I'm still with Saleh's younguns. They were terrible at times last night, but there's no quit. They kept fighting till the last play. Gonna be better for it. Maybe just in time for the SB

I've since cut them some slack. They have to be mindful of the Bears very good run game, plus Caleb's running scrambling ability and the arm strength on the run. Can't go after just one aspect of the Bears offense, they have to be discipline on all. Puts a lot of stress on the young guys. They certainly made mistakes but fought through it. Very similar to what the Bears defense went through with our offense.

Also, I'd like to think the game could've gone differently (for the defense) had we not started with a pick 6. They did force two 3 and outs to start the game before fizzling out, presumably once Johnson adjusted and mostly abandoned the run.

Neither defense was prepared for a total shootout type game.

That was one of the worst defensive performances I have seen from a 49ers team. On the plus side Seattle isn't nearly as good on offense. Avoid LA in the playoffs somehow someway and the rest of the games are toss ups IF the offense continues to do what they are doing. The rest of the offenses in the playoffs out side of LA, SF and Chicago are not that scary. Thankfully Chicago's D is just as bad as SF.

Justin Simmons is a free agent but he has to have horrible all 22 film cause I never thought he was worst than Jason Pinnock

He just made the Pro Bowl as a Special Teamer, so maybe don't get rid of him but by all means keep him from seeing time on defense.

Rivers was out there changing plays at the line and throwing adjustments at the defense all day - they were uncertain about what was going on. plus our safeties get abused in the pass game.

Bears offense was a masterful game plan by Ben Johnson. just had our defenders confused and lost at times. great scheme and did what kyle does to defenses.

Seahawks offense is the scheme we run, literally hired a kyle shanahan guy to run it with darnold. so it's a system we are more familiar with and understand. harder to trick anyone. so hope the defense has a huge day.

Call Suh and see if he's been working out. if we get the bye, he has 2 weeks to get ready to play and in shape. lol
