Robert Saleh - Head Coach - Tennessee Titans

He's got to get rid of Sigle. All he does is give up TDs, he's garbage and shouldn't be on the field.

let's not forget Sigle is a rookie and is he playing in place of Mustapha? And is he a better option than Brown or Pinnock?

We should stop focusing on individual performance and reset our tackling philosophy. We have to wrap up securely not do the all gas no brakes play with extreme violence philosophy. I think this is the number one problem with our defense. We don't wrap up we don't teach technique on how to bring down figures stronger ball carriers. Sala should bring in Patty Willis and others who have expertise in there this area to coach the unit

IIt's never too late to learn how to tackle like Patrick Willis who is an elite of the elite tackling technician. And he's right in our backyard. What a resource.

A 260 lb defensive lineman should always be able to latch onto a 220 lb quarterback. Even one like Baker Mayfield who is a complete stud. There's no excuse for that and I believe that we need to prioritize our coaching priorities to stress sound fundamentals.

Dude, I hear you. But, great players, make great plays in big situations. Baker should have been down for a huge loss, but somehow, he did what he did. I thought for sure Bryce had him. Look if Brock does that, we go ham and crow about how gutsy and gritty it was. When Baker does it to us, it must be because our defense lacks not because the great player did a great thing. It is kinda weird, but sometimes you can sense this sort of stuff is going to happen at the beginning of a play. Also, Fred was out. Next man up, my ass. If Fred is there, I feel more confident we stop this from happening. If I am being fair, though, Baker made a helluva play and he might have made it on Fred, too. It can happen.

Time for Saleh to show how great a DC he can be. Its easy when you have great players, but legendary DCs can work magic with players that are not elite. Not saying he has to turn us into a Defensive Powerhouse, but just make it good enough to win games and not have everything break down.

Can Saleh find a way to keep this young defense respectable and competitive? I think he can. maybe it won't be a great defense but it can still be good.

Not a single doubt.

The loss of Fred was cataclysmic to the defense. Busted coverages, confusion, misalignment, Bethune yelling at people and probably doesn't know wtf he's talking about, etc. The middle of the field was Swiss cheese like we haven't seen in forever. It hasn't looked this bad since 2016 where Jim O'Neil was DC, and nobody knew what they were doing on defense.

Does this open it up for Nick Martin to get playing time, or do the 49ers go to backup/special teams' guys?

It's my understanding he's not playing because he's not good on special teams and they need their backups to have dual roles.

Kind of weird pinnock didn't play a single snap. Wonder if something else happened
