Wilson sucks that was maybe the worst QB performance I've seen in my life and afterward he blames the wind and says the 3 pts should have held up.. he didn't let the D down at all.

That's a good point. There were lots of Wilson fan boys on this site. I was balls deep on the Fields koolaid but I did think Wilson would be a perfect fit for Kyles scheme.

Wilson getting a lot of flack, and kind of deservedly so..
Trey is obviously not lighting up the world but at least he is accountable and potential to be a great leader.. if Kyle stops trying to kill him in the future.
But love that saleh is doing well! Defense is awesome for them.

I only saw him saying he didn't let the D down. Is that other stuff really true? I've got to find to whole press conference now.

There absolutely were a lot. Some even wanted to trade to number 2. I didn't get it. I had Lawrence 1 and Fields 2. When it was clear the Jets were taking Wilson, I thought great, we get Fields. Happy with our pick, even with how everything has unfolded, but it sucks for the Jets that not only Wilson has been bed, but doesn't seem to possess to capacity to even want to improve.

You are conflating the insufferable mac fanboys with Wilson not being criticized . There's a reason why people rag on Mac so hard

I then started watching Fields tapes more carefully and he actually surpassed Jones on my list UNTIL his epilepsy news kicked in then was back to all in on Mac. When draft day hit I truly was ANYONE BUT Trey.

Never trade up unless you are totally convicted / convinced. My understanding from reports they traded up then started doing the due diligence. Not good.

Agreed! I for one say never trade up for a QB. I'm not a true believer in the Franchise QB mumbo jumbo. I am a believer in getting a QB that fits your system.
Ironically though we are in the Saleh thread and he didn't trade up.
