Yeah I felt really weird when we signed him but he has grown on me a lot. He really embraced the team and is the epitome of "love him on your team and hate him when he isn't"

That 3-13 comment was definitely a shot at Ryan Clark. Sherm with a chip on his shoulder is when he performs his best. I like it.

It could have been a shot at Adam Rank of NFL Network who said 3-13 would be our record.

Yeah niners perform better when they have a chip on their shoulder. It's when they're getting praised that causes them to get relaxed and lazy. It has always been that way . They lose to anyone when that happens.
Was it Carlos Rogers?Whitner? in the Harbros era that said when the niners play dumbed down to other teams in relaxed mode is when they lose?
