Gase has been coaching in the NFL since 2007 and learned under multiple head coaches McVay has not

Plus he's 8 yrs older that's not even relatable you're stretching it hard man lol

Man you are just looking to argue aren't you....

Your the one that commented on what I wrote man...trying to make some counter point what I said.

30 vs 38 is not even close.

At 30 he's going to be younger than some of the players... and half the age of some of his potential assistants/coordinators. I think he's probably talented as hell and could do incredible things while a team is hot but we're about as cold as a team gets.

We need someone who's hit rock bottom before and come out the other side wiser and better for it. It's why I think McDaniels is our best shot.

thats why he's our best shot, cause he stunk it up before?

Because he's been at the bottom and realizes what NOT to do...he has experience and will bring a winning culture, he has experience developing qbs, he's game planing is top of the league as far finding and exposing and teams weakness, he has put together to end coaching staffs.

What had McVay done?

If all he did was stink, then no. But he's had a ton of success at the Pats AND he's popped his HC cherry and learned a lot from the experience.

Works for me.

McVay hasn't failed, yet

McD has failed twice, when not under BB and Brady

He left the Rams after they fired the head coach.

What makes you sure McDaniels is better?
He has sucked everywhere without Brady and Belichick.
Right now I want hope. McDaniels brings hope. Shanahan brings hope. To me, McVay also brings hope. I think we will get the quickest turnaround with McDaniels, but who knows who will be the better coach in 10 years. The staffing issue is a strong concern with McVay. Honestly you would need pull from a GM to put a strong staff together. The interest in the McVay/Wolf combo is the chance of the well respected names bringing some legitimacy to the young staff. Certainly a boom or bust option but one I would be guardedly optimistic about.

Ultimate boom or bust scenario. If they do well, we have them for a long time and they could be considered a dynamic duo. But they're youth could cause them to face plant, even if Wolfe did scouting reports when he was in his diapers.
