Maybe we should defend the chargers for having a lot of wins over the past few years Or other teams that have won a lot of games that exit the playoffs quickly. Like I said before, the 49ers and Green Bay have went to four championship games this decade, Seattle has not come close to that so, don't know what else to tell you
Good point.
Despite some brutal years 2015-2018 and 2010, 49ers still tied for #1 in NFC Championship Game appearances.
Could you imagine any other team getting shattered in pieces like our team did post Harbaugh and still able to come back in just a few years?
The way the draft order is set and the salary cap as intended, it is to try and make sure teams that are on the bottom for several years on end can get back to contention. You picking in the top 5-10 every round for 3-4 years straight, provided your FO is drafting right, using the extra salary cap to pick up some nice FA pieces and got the right coach...you should be contending in a few years. Niners and Rams immediately to mind here, although Rams got more picks early on due to Washington's terrible trade.
That being said it also exposes when a team's FO is terrible at drafting, finding coaches and managing salary cap if they are on the bottom year after year with high draft pick after high draft pick and still can't compete after some time. The Browns obviously come to mind here. Conversly It also exposes with a team's FO and coaching is fantastic if they can stay on top year after year managing a salary cap having to pay big names and being stuck with low draft picks. Patriots obviously come to mind here.
Exactly. And good post btw.

Just wait till the games start and it comes out of the closet, bruh
