Just won a damn Super Bowl and Schneider is ALREADY crying and blaming politics for why they won't be able to keep their team together.

Un-fing-real.

Reminds me of Ray Lewis crying about the black out. Like holy hell YOU WON THE SUPER BOWL STOP CRYING. You sound insecure for a franchise who just won it all. Almost like they know deep down it was undeserved

GM was asked about a new tax, and he confirmed it will no doubt effect recruiting for all teams in Seattle, as that has been a big selling point for years.

He's definitely not wrong. Should he have lied?

Agree with your point. Millionaires tax is STUPID. Penalize smart people for coming up with ideas that makes money? Dumbest thing I've ever heard of. I hope to Dear God that CA voters see through that stupid tax proposal for what it really is. But, who knows? You have a growing subset of morons who believe in all things communism. Damn that Charles Dickens. He's to blame for all the crap that followed after he wrote that infernal short story about some mean turd named Scrooge.

Couldn't agree more!!! Truly bizarre how so many people are willing to take from other just because they have more. Doesn't matter how they got their start, how hard they've worked, or how much they've risked. If they have more, lets take it!

This. Trickle down economics works. We have the most affordable prices for groceries, housing, education, gas, healthcare, you name it. Not to mention the greatest job growth in American history. It's really unfair to make the billionaires actually pay taxes. How will they survive??

I know we are entering dangerous political talk stuff here, but I was also very against the millionaires tax. I am not (and more than likely will never be) a millionaire (net worth sure, annual income most likely not), but I also know this was just the gateway to open up income tax to all a few years later. Washington has silly taxes on everything and the way to justify it for so long was no income tax, but with the incoming income tax that will no doubt hit everyone in 3-5 years...sigh. Anyway, I could go on for a long time about this, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter. Make my money, do what I can, most likely will move when it makes sense. That being said it seems like there is a big youth movement that is starting to second guess what has been pushed on them and perhaps things get a bit more rational and logical in 5-7 years once they start hitting voting ages as well as the current 24-45 year olds also start wanting to maintain what income they have earned.
Didn't mean to start a messy argument about the world in here. Just thought it was extremely lame to hear a Super Bowl-winning GM cry about being at suuuuch a disadvantage already. I don't feel bad for him nor his team one bit.

That's all. My personal feelings about how much everyone is taxed and taxation in general are irrelevant to this lol

I will say I don't know if he was crying, he was asked a question on whether or not the new bill would impact his recruiting and he said it will "sting", because of course why wouldn't it? If you can offer 10M to someone and they get to keep most of that without taxes versus now being taxed basically 10% on at least half of the games (I believe your taxed where you play). By that math alone on a 10M/year salary that's at least a $500k impact of the contract value being given to the player. And let's be real, if I'm some young 20 something year old player, getting offered the same take home pay to play in California, NYC vs Seattle...vs maybe Seattle's same contract used to pay an extra 500k-1M+ more due to the income tax situation. Well...it would impact my decision on where I want to go. I mean you're telling me if you had the choice to live/play in LA, SF, NYC vs Seattle for an extra 500k-1M+ that would not sway you one bit? I don't even make that salary and that income tax that will no doubt hit me in the next few years, is starting to sway me towards leaving the state myself.

So, Lions Browns and Bills, to name but three, are not going to have any players under contract at all any day soon?

American pro sportsmen are ludicrously overpaid anyway. Same as soccer players.
Will be interesting to see Seattle on hard knocks. I haven't watched this show too much, but I don't recall seeing teams on there after a playoff or super bowl run.

Interesting snapshot into MacDonalds operation.

The only defending champion I can remember was the ravens when they appeared in 2001. Don't know if anything others have.

Yeah, I find the youth tends to love billionaires.
