This Seattle team strikes me as the brag about taking candy from a baby type. They are really trash talking beating a hobbled team. Going ti be great seeing this matchup for years to come.

Absolutely!

Lenoir talking trash to JSN, Jennings saying they were praying it was Seattle they'd play, Nwosu telling Warner his seasons over on Saturday, Witherspoon talking crap to Shannahan on the field.

I don't like the trash talking, but I do like what comes with it. Will definitely get each side fired up (not that they need it). Fun to have this this swung back into a competitive rivalry. These teams should hate each other. It makes it better for all of us!

Before the Hawks play an opponent, Aros posts his weekly prediction in his thread, for the upcoming game.
Aros' Fearless Divisional Round Prediction Thread (vs 49ers)
Both games -- home and away -- were low scoring affairs, even with Seattle dominating at Levi's
For whatever reason(s), a surprising number of posters are predicting scores of high 20s to low 40s.

Is it the absence of Kittle, being at home, what's at stake, the rest advantage, or all of the aforementioned ?
I expect adjustments from both teams, and doubt we see similar game plans, especially from SF. Could be
wrong, time will tell ...

Post game Edit;
I stand corrected - on to next season ...

Congrats to ZagHawk. The 49ers were never in this game. There was the opening whistle. It all went downhill after that.

Much appreciated. Obviously as a rival fan, I enjoyed the heck out of the game from start to finish. I honestly did not feel comfortable until shortly into the 4th quarter, just because I respect the Niner team that much (team got to where it got to, with all the injuries). I think it may have been even PTSD from the Pete Carroll era as the team would become conservative anytime it got a lead. Big game against the Rams. Stafford is an elite QB, Puka is an elite WR, the Rams D line is legit and of course historically in the last 7 years, the Rams have certainly gotten the better of the Seahawks, and the two meetings this season were razor thin. Game 1, Rams win, but Hawks had 4 turnovers and missed a makeable FG game winner. Game 2, Hawks win, but this time Rams miss a very makeable FG game winner.

It's impressive what the Niner team accomplished this season with all the injuries that would be a season ender for just about any other franchise early on. I will say though, I still think there is something beyond bad luck with all the injuries for the Niner franchise historically under KS. I read somewhere the Niner teams practice 100% and I can see how that can lead to both being an advantage in game (perhaps the body hitting stride 10 minutes earlier than the other team) while also higher risk for injuries. I do wonder if any Niner fans speculate on the same thing or not?
The dreams end Sunday.

Seahawks got touched by a 49er 2nd/ 3rd string defense.
As much as it pains me, the Seahawks are a freight train that isn't stopping for anyone. They are the complete team. Go Rams (yuck).

Yep. Great draft. First round picks are studs
Some media hacks think the key to winning NFC championship is Darnold but I don't think it is he could probably throw less passes than Jimmy G did in that Raheem Mostert game and they'll still win. Speaking of which wouldn't it be hilarious if Stafford got knocked out and Jimmy had to come in and play.
A lot of people on here have tried their hardest to put Sam down I'm assuming because of the huge contract difference between Sam and Brock and Sam possible outplaying Brock but here he is with a shot at a ring.

It clearly was Darnold and he was the MVP of last night's game. Stafford also showed why he's a league MVP candidate. Sliced and diced up that Darkside.

Prior to the game, I did believe the key to winning the game would be Darnold, not regarding outplaying Stafford, but just not making mistakes.

Stafford definitely made huge plays against the Seahawks defense last night. He definitely continues to show his elite MVP caliber play. Interestingly enough Darnold and Stafford had similar stats last night (the eye test even as a Seahawks fan, did not feel that way), but they were also playing different defenses. I actually think Stafford had more time in pocket than Darnold did (it at least felt that way). After the first two series the Rams definitely made a defensive adjustment that really bottled up the Seahawks rushing attack and put pressure on Darnold. Darnold took the sacks. I actually think the near picks he threw were on the replacement RB than Darnold. I am happy for Darnold, he's been receiving criticism (rightfully so) through most of the season and into the playoffs and he doesn't cause any drama, so I'm happy he's continuing in the right direction with his play in the most crucial time of season.

I am glad the Seahawks players and organization are not like the general public and media discounting the Patriots heading into the Superbowl and will do everything to be prepared to show why they are the better team. As a Seahawks fan, I know I'm going to see the Butler interception over and over again for the next 2 weeks, so it sure would be nice to have that kind of removed from last Superbowl memory with a win. Similar to how the Broncos fans must have felt after their SB loss to the Seahawks, when they came back and won.

Very thankful the team overcame Woolen's stupid penalty, that was a huge swing that kept the Rams in the game and could have easily resulting in a defense/team imploding and losing the game. I'm sure he was reminded (and will continue to be reminded) of the whole MOB mantra.
hopefully some inept moron like a Dan Snyder type buys the team
