Kirk Cousins is a loser and I hate everything about him and I never want to see him in red and gold. Douche.

Don't need to. JG passes the eye test. He missed out on a year of growth last season and is making up for that early on this season. Sure there will be more mistakes in some capacity but he's shown abilities surpassing any 49ers QB since Young (even Garcia, who was good). I think this will be JG's first full season (to stay healthy) and it will do his game wonders. He'll be playing his best ball at the end when it matters most. Whether some fans see it now or not, JG will justify my statement. Glad we have him and KS.

After one week? No.

Let's give it some time. KC has a more established resume and is a fine QB in his own right, but WTF has he done, really? Not much more than JG. JG had the opportunity to learn behind the GOAT and has shown an "it" factor at the QB position not seen here in 20 years and that I haven't seen from KC to make me wish we had him instead.

Wrong.
It's ok though. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Right. We'll see how well my post ages moving forward, I don't mind being early to the party. I watched Steve Young, and every 49ers QB since, play. None since Young are as good as Jimmy G. Maybe better stats at the moment, but stats don't tell the whole story.

If this season shows that he can be a winner 4/5 games or whatever than that's great. Its a huge win for all of us but I still don't think there's enough on his resume to say that.

Watch the Vikings dump Cousins in a year and then he goes off to replace Brady in New England and balls the hell out.

While there is plenty that Cousins is at fault for, the playcalling and OL are still both trash and will be a limiting factor on any QB they bring in unless they make some changes.

He's an 8-8/9-7 quarterback, nothing more. (IMO)

Then at some point there is a Cousins for Garoppolo swap, so the QBs are back to the offenses they started in.
That said if Zimmer gets canned, I'd be at the very front of the Zimmer for DC bandwagon. He is a brilliant playcaller.

Safe to say the 49ers lucked out in getting Jimmy Garoppolo from the Patriots so that they did not have to choose Kirk Cousins. Thank you Bill Belichik. I am certain he did not want to trade Jimmy G away, but I am glad that Robert Kraft and the trade deadline forced his hand. Cousins is better than any QB we've had since Jeff Garcia, but Jimmy G is better than any since Steve Young.

Lol

Jimmy > Garcia > Alex > Cousins > Kap > All the rest since young

Agreed. We avoided a huge disaster with Cousins. He is what he is, which is meh

Dude is horrible.
This dude is disappointing. Minnesota should have went for Alex smith who would have led this stacked team to the playoffs last year. The perception was that Cousins was better, which we all know is BS now

Theilen calling out Cousins to the media yesterday...
We dodged a huge bullet! Thank you Patriots
